Eli is a fierce lefty who can score effectively on all three levels. He has strong ball-handling skills and loves getting into transition off steals and fueling the fast break for strong finishes for himself or setting up teammates. Eli is a relentless defender who thrives on taking those cookies for quick scores. Eli is a high-energy blue-collar stud trying to shock the world.
The most motivating thing that happened this year for Eli was getting cut from his AAU team. Since then he played on better AAU teams such as UA Future and global grassroots teams - playing for the Poinciana Yellow Jackets. He focused on his defense and shooting. Eli's goal for this upcoming season is to have a great freshman year and show his talents to the world.
What fuels Eli's fire the most is when people start thinking they are better than him or that they work harder than him. Eli makes it his mission to let his game and work out there speak loud and clear.
When facing adversity Eli lets it happen and moves on to the next play.
What a coach can expect from Eli is a hard worker who's very coachable. Eli also brings a strong defensive presence and a solid offensive swagger.
Eli sees himself playing D1 if he continues to work harder than everyone and develops his skills every day.
I assess Eli as hungry and on a mission to shock the world with his skills. His driven pursuit of always improving his game and his defense adds value. The potential is there for Eli to rise and shine. We will keep an eye on his journey and see just how high he flies.
