6'1, 185lbs, Class of 2028

Andrean HS, IN

Dylan brings a dangerous mix of pinpoint passing and quick feet to Andrean’s offense. He has the arm strength to attack from the pocket, the touch to fit throws into tight windows, and the agility to keep a play alive when the first look is covered. Through seven weeks, he's completed 124/185 passes for 1,337 yards, with 14 passing TDs and 2 rushing TDs. His team stands at 6–1 overall and 4–0 in conference play, with plenty of ways to make a defense pay.

Andrean opened against Merrillville, a 6A opponent that had finished as the 5A state runner-up, and came close before falling short. The response came against Bishop Luers, the 3A state runner-up, as Dylan and his teammates took a win and began building momentum. Since then, early leads have given younger players valuable time on the field. Dylan gives credit to a disciplined offense that can run the ball or turn to its talented receivers, while a strong defense gives his team confidence that a stop is coming when it needs one. He's quick to give credit to his line, teammates, and coaches for putting the whole team in a position to succeed.

Dylan’s accuracy is only part of what makes him tough to contain. He's thrown just 1 interception and taken only 1 sack, protecting the ball while still making explosive plays when a defense seems to have him trapped. He stays calm when the moment gets tense, makes decisive throws, and gives his teammates confidence that the offense can finish the job. His biggest improvement since last season has come in his poise and how he sees the game, with growing trust in his receivers helping him let the ball go with conviction.

That confidence was earned long before this season. Dylan came to Andrean competing with another freshman quarterback and worked his way into the varsity backup spot. As a sophomore, he pushed for time beside an experienced senior instead of settling for a place on the sideline, eventually splitting drives throughout a state championship season. Earning his first DI offer added another milestone to a football journey built on persistence.

This offseason, Dylan worked to become bigger, stronger, and faster while training at QBEra to sharpen his touch, power, and precision. A private quarterback coach, a speed coach, and a nutrition coach help him prepare, and he takes recovery seriously with ice, cold baths, and sauna sessions so he can be ready for the next week. Now he wants his team to stay disciplined, take each game as it comes, and make another run at a blue ring. Whether it is a rivalry game or a 7-on-7 rep at practice, his competitive fire keeps him chasing the best version of himself.

I assess that Dylan has a gift for turning a broken play into a good chance for his offense. He can move away from trouble without rushing his decision, then deliver a catchable ball that lets a teammate finish the play. That combination of control and creativity gives Andrean a spark whenever a drive needs one.

The more this team plays together, the more dangerous its connection can become. Dylan’s belief in the people beside him and his drive to meet every challenge give him a powerful way to lead them into the biggest games ahead. This rising star is must-see TV and a name football fans should remember. We'll be hearing it for years to come. Stay tuned.
