Tyler is a dominant force that doesn't take possessions off. He brings strength, versatility, and a relentless motor that allows him to impact every inch of the floor. He can handle the rock, attack the rim through contact, step out and rain in shots, including the 3-ball, and dominate the boards on both ends. Whether it is ripping down a defensive rebound and fueling a long runout or crashing for a put-back that shifts momentum, he plays with purpose and physicality every single trip.

The numbers don't lie. Tyler is averaging 29.6 points, 16.8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks per game, ranking as the #1 rebounder in Kentucky and the #3 scorer statewide. He was also the top rebounder in Kentucky last season, proving that this dominance on the boards is not a one-year wonder but a consistent standard. His strengths start with his inside game, rebounding, and scoring, but his ability to protect the rim, generate steals, and defend the paint adds another weapon that makes him a matchup nightmare.

One of the most impactful moments of his season came in a district rivalry win over Belfry, where he exploded for 51 points, 20 rebounds, and 4 blocks in a statement performance that shook the region. That night was not just about numbers. It was about pride, toughness, and rising in the heat of a rivalry moment. He is already looking forward to seeing Belfry again in the district championship with even more on the line.

His biggest improvement from last season has been stepping out and confidently hitting the outside shot, forcing defenders to guard him beyond the paint and expanding his overall scoring arsenal. Moving forward, he is focused on tightening his handles and becoming more consistent with the middy, determined to improve every part of his game.

When facing adversity, Tyler stays calm and relies on his physical strength and composure. He approaches challenges head-on. The best advice he has received is to practice as hard as he plays in games, and that approach shows in how he competes on every possession. Coaches can expect offense, relentless rebounding, and full defensive effort every time he steps on the floor.

Off the court, he enjoys fishing with his family, working on his farm, and taking care of his animals, staying grounded in the values that built him. As postseason play approaches, he is proud of his teammates and coaches and hungry to bring trophies back to Phelps for the Hornet faithful. He hopes to play college basketball and remains open to any opportunity that comes his way, and with the numbers and consistency he is producing, those opportunities will come. Coaches should have this space-eater with range high on their radar. Stay tuned to see how high he can fly.

I assess that Tyler is a physically imposing, high production forward who controls the glass and punishes defenders inside while expanding his range to stretch opposing bigs. His combination of strength, motor, rebounding instincts, and rim protection makes him a two-way anchor who can shift momentum quickly. He competes every possession and embraces physical play, giving his team a dependable presence on both ends.

As Tyler continues tightening his handles and adding consistency to his middy and perimeter game, his ceiling is sky-high. With proven statewide production, sustained rebounding dominance, and the ability to deliver in rivalry moments, he projects as a strong impact player at the next level. Continued skill development and exposure will position him to draw increasing college attention while remaining the cornerstone of Phelps’ postseason push.
