Jagger is an instinctive defender with a high IQ and a nose for the ball. His ability to read the offense and react quickly is unmatched, allowing him to shoot gaps and hit lanes with aggression, speed, and power upon contact. Jagger thrives on being extremely physical as a downhill smasher, delivering a relentless force that opposing offenses struggle to contain. His focus on making a fierce impact sideline to sideline makes him a game-changer, and he firmly believes his high motor set him apart from the pack.
This season, Jagger made his presence felt with 106 tackles, including 40 solo, 4 sacks, and 4 forced fumbles. The biggest improvement in his game was becoming more physical, which he achieved through relentless offseason work to get stronger, faster, and fill out his frame. This allowed him to play downhill without hesitation, showing his growth as a player determined to dominate every snap.
Losing his junior season to an injury was one of the most motivational moments of Jagger's journey. Watching his team fall short of expectations while being unable to contribute fueled his desire to make a big impact this season—and he did just that. Jagger returned to the field with renewed determination, proving his unshakable resilience and passion for the game.
Before every play, Jagger reads the offense, looking for any giveaways in formations, tendencies, or alignments. This preparation gives him a mental edge, allowing him to confidently disrupt plays. He approaches each matchup with the mindset that the person lined up against him will break before he does, and his unwavering belief in his abilities drives him to give 110% on every down.
Jagger is motivated by the knowledge that he represents not only himself but also his family. His faith has taught him that trials build character and that everything happens for a reason, helping him handle adversity with strength and purpose.
Jagger sees himself playing at the Di1 level, knowing he has the size and skill to compete. However, he understands the importance of increasing his speed to match the pace of play at such a high level. His trainer, Brecken Harvey of Harvey Performance, has been instrumental in helping him develop as an athlete, and Jagger is fully committed to becoming the best player he can be. While D1 is his goal, he remains open to other opportunities if it means getting on the field and contributing.
Jagger’s advice to younger players is simple: “Just put in the work.” He believes that shortcuts ultimately reveal themselves and that dedication is the key to success. For Jagger, what makes a school stand out is its ability to develop him not only as a football player but also as a man. The best coaching advice he’s received is to play freely and never be stressed or worried because, win or lose, the opportunity to play is a blessing.
Jagger has the skill, drive, and work ethic to play at the next level. His hunger to grow and develop as a player and a man is evident in everything he does. Having battled through adversity, giving Jagger a resilient spirit that made him stronger, Jagger plays with a fiery passion and a deep appreciation for the game he loves. He’s not just a player; he’s a leader, a competitor, and a true example of resilience and faith on and off the field.
