Hayden makes his presence felt from the opening tip to the final buzzer. He has the length, athleticism, and instincts to be a defensive gem while still bringing a soft touch offensively. He thrives as a versatile two-way player, blocking shots, mixing it up on the boards, and setting the tone on defense while punishing defenders with his middy and finishing touch inside. His IQ, effort, and unselfishness make him a player coaches love, a true game-changer on both ends of the floor.
This past season, Hayden averaged 16.1 points, 11.9 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, 2.7 steals, and 1.7 assists per game, production that proves he impacts every aspect of the game, better known as a stat sheet stuffer. His biggest improvement has been expanding his shooting ability and spacing the floor, developing into more than just an inside threat. Over the offseason, he locked in on ball-handling, three-point shooting, and defense, with the goal of becoming a player who can confidently guard all five positions. Hitting multiple game-winners last season showed his poise in big moments, but what sets him apart is the relentless energy and communication he brings every time he steps on the floor.
Hayden has continued to grow as a perimeter threat with One Time Legends on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, showcasing his ability to score inside and out while defending with toughness around the rim. His goals this AAU season were to prove he could handle more perimeter responsibilities, elevate his shooting, and improve decision-making, and he delivered, showing growth in all three. Now he’s excited to start for his team, step into big moments, and play in front of packed gyms with college coaches watching closely.
When it comes to what fuels him, Hayden finds the most fire in setting up teammates, blocking shots, throwing down dunks in heated moments, and hitting clutch buckets when the game is on the line. His ability to stay calm under adversity, encourage his teammates, and move on to the next play makes him a steady leader in pressure situations. Off the court, he’s just as committed, boasting a 5.46 GPA, membership in both the National Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society, and serving as a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He’s the definition of a true student-athlete.
Hayden’s faith is the heartbeat of everything he does. He plays the game with the understanding that every rebound, block, and bucket is an opportunity to glorify Christ. His leadership in Fellowship of Christian Athletes reflects how he carries that same devotion beyond the court, inspiring others through his actions and words. Grounded in Scripture and prayer, Hayden views basketball not just as competition but as a platform to honor God and impact lives. His drive to excel comes from a place of gratitude and purpose, ensuring that every step he takes as a student-athlete shines the light back to Him.
The best coaching advice he’s ever received was to play for Christ and his teammates, and he embodies that every time he steps on the court. Off the court, he values his relationship with Christ deeply, balancing his time between school, basketball, and church.
I assess that Hayden’s size, length, and defensive instincts allow him to change the game immediately at the college level. His motor, rebounding dominance, and shot-blocking will give any program a reliable rim protector, while his improving perimeter game makes him more than just an interior presence. His IQ and unselfishness guarantee he’ll elevate the play of those around him, making him an ideal fit in a system that values both toughness and versatility.
What’s ahead for Hayden is exciting. His continued work on perimeter skills and strength will unlock a new level in his game, allowing him to dominate inside while stretching the floor. Expect him to emerge as a consistent two-way threat, capable of guarding multiple positions and stepping up in the biggest moments. With his mix of skill, leadership, and faith-driven focus, Hayden is on track to become one of the most complete and impactful forwards in his class. Stay tuned.
