"Handles on a String, Mind Two Steps Ahead, Winning in His Blood"

Kahsi steps on the floor with one mission: to win, no matter what it takes. He’s the kind of point guard who takes control without forcing it, leading with his voice, his energy, and the way he plays every possession. He scores when it’s needed, sets the table when it’s there, locks in on defense, and makes sure his team is always in position to succeed. There’s a toughness about him, a competitive edge that lets everyone know he’s got their back and he’s not backing down from anything.

Coming into Capitol, he didn’t ease his way in, he made his presence known right away. On a team loaded with depth, where minutes and touches were limited, he understood he had to earn everything. The trust from his coaches and teammates helped, but it was the work he put in that made the difference. That confidence allowed him to step in and just play, helping lead a group that stayed undefeated and held the #1 spot in AAA for most of the season.

With the ball in his hands, Kahsi s always thinking ahead. He’s reading the back line of the defense before he even makes his move, already knowing what’s coming next. He’s looking for mismatches, finding the hot hand, and putting teammates in position to score. When he attacks, it’s not just about getting his own; it’s about breaking the defense down and creating something for everyone. That’s what makes him tough to guard, because he’s not just reacting, he’s setting things up before they even happen.

Offensively, he brings balance. Early in games, he’s focused on getting his teammates involved, understanding that when the defense starts to shift, his opportunities will come. As a three-level scorer, once things open up, he can take over stretches, but he never loses sight of running the team. His ability to play on and off the ball makes him even more dangerous because he doesn’t need to dominate the ball to make an impact.

His numbers, 8 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 82% from the line, only tell part of the story. On a team where everyone could play, and touches were limited, he made every opportunity count. Keeping his scoring and playmaking that close shows how complete his game is. He’s not one-dimensional; he’s effective in multiple ways every time he steps on the floor.

Adversity came early with the transition. New system, new teammates, new expectations, and fewer minutes meant every possession mattered. That kind of pressure can break players, but for Kashi, it brought out his focus. He trusted his work, stayed grounded in his faith, and when his number was called, he delivered.

The biggest improvement in his game came with his shot and his understanding of the game. As his jumper became more consistent, defenders had to respect it, and that opened everything else up. At the same time, the game started slowing down for him mentally, allowing him to make quicker decisions and play faster without rushing.

At Pitt Jam, he showed exactly what he brings against high-level competition. He took on the challenge of guarding the best player every game, picking them up full court, applying pressure, and forcing turnovers. He turned himself into a problem defensively. On top of that, he showed his ability to run a team at a high level, including a 10-assist performance while consistently getting his teammates involved and still finding ways to score. It wasn’t just about numbers; it was about control, impact, and winning games against strong competition.

I assess that Kahsi brings strong leadership, high-level decision-making, and defensive intensity. His ability to read the floor, control tempo, and create for others stands out. He competes on both ends, pressures the ball, and plays with confidence in every situation.

He has the tools to develop into a reliable lead guard at the next level. His playmaking, defensive effort, and growing scoring ability give him a solid foundation. As he continues to build on his consistency and overall offensive game, he has the potential to impact winning in multiple ways and be a steady presence for a program. Stay tuned.
