Jerome is a big, confident guard with a smooth handle and a natural feel for the game. He combines size, vision, and craftiness to create problems for opposing defenses, whether it's breaking defenders down, attacking the rim through contact, or dropping dimes with purpose. His IQ and instincts jump off the screen, but it’s his ability to impact every phase of the game that separates him. Jerome shoots it well from deep, gets to the free-throw line consistently, and makes his teammates better with unselfish play. On the defensive end, he uses his length to guard 1 through 5, protect the rim, and clean the glass before pushing the break. He doesn’t just fill a role, but fills up the stat sheet and affects winning.

Even in limited minutes last season, Jerome averaged 7.7 points, 4.3 assists, and 4 rebounds per game, but that didn’t fully reflect his skill set. That changed this summer. He broke out with standout performances on the AAU circuit with MO Flight, averaging 15.5 points, 5.6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals at the Hardwood Classic. His overall summer stats were consistent as he averaged 15.6 points, 5 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game, proving he’s more than ready for a full-time varsity role. The biggest improvement in his game has been his jumper and defensive mindset. He’s taken pride in guarding and using stops as fuel to flip the momentum. His improved shot now forces defenses to pick their poison: play him tight and he blows by on a drive, or sag and get burned from deep.

Jerome isn’t just a scorer, but a floor general. He wants to master pick-and-roll reads, lead the break after a board, and keep evolving his game. He brings confidence and effort every time he steps on the floor and understands that college coaches are looking for impact, not hype. That’s exactly what he brings, impact in every category. His goal heading into this season is to be the leader his team leans on, the go-to guy who brings poise, production, and a winning mindset. And with a bigger role coming at Waynesville, he’s ready to show coaches he can produce and perform at the next level.

Off the court, Jerome enjoys spending time with family, catching up on rest, and diving into video games. But on the court, it’s all business. He plays with purpose and remembers his “why” every time he steps on the floor, his family, his future, and the drive to prove himself every time he gets a chance.

I assess that Jerome is a skilled, unselfish guard with length, leadership, and versatility. His ability to score, pass, defend, and run the floor makes him an ideal fit for any system. His improved jumper, high IQ, and relentless effort raise his ceiling even further.

Jerome is a rising young star. With the tools to take over games and the mindset to stay locked in through adversity, expect him to shine in a larger role this season and catch the attention of college programs looking for a multi-dimensional guard who does it all. Stay tuned.
