6’2, 165lbs, Class of 2029

Huntington Middle School, WV

Alijah is already turning heads with a skill set that’s years ahead of his class. A fierce, dynamic shooting guard with bounce and scoring instincts, he brings an electric blend of explosiveness and finesse every time he steps on the floor. His ability to attack the rim with authority, now punctuated by the dunk, makes him a constant threat in transition and half-court sets. Add in a growing outside shot and a high-energy motor, and it’s clear why he’s already leaving a major mark on the middle school scene while previewing what’s to come at the high school level and beyond. He impacts the game in every phase with a mature mindset, high-level focus, and hunger to be great.

This past season, Alijah averaged 15.4 points, 4.3 assists, and 6.2 rebounds per game, leading the way with steady production and showing major growth in his jumper, rim finishing, and physical maturity. His biggest improvement was his body development and scoring variety, and now he’s zeroing in on tightening his handle and mastering his hot zone mid-range shots. When he’s not dominating at Huntington, he plays on the Nike Jr. EYBL circuit with Bates Fundamentals and keeps sharp with ESBA. His goals are to make noise at Peach Jam, rise into the ESPN rankings, and become a name college coaches already know.

What drives Alijah is the thrill of competition, scoring, winning, and proving himself every time he steps on the court. He blocks out the noise and remembers what matters most: work ethic, trust in his teammates, and the belief that if he keeps grinding, the offers will come. That mentality is what separates him from the pack, and his energy is infectious. Off the floor, he stays locked in, lifting weights, hitting cardio, and staying grounded through family, faith, and the relationships that matter most.

I assess that Alijah already plays with the edge and poise of a high school standout. His offensive versatility, athleticism, and mindset give him the tools to contribute right away as he enters the high school level. Coaches can expect a confident, physically gifted scorer who doesn’t shy away from the moment and brings a workhorse mentality to every rep.

Alijah’s ceiling is sky-high. As he continues to build strength, develop his handles, and expand his range, he’s setting the stage to become a nationally known name. His early success on the Jr. EYBL circuit is just the start; he’s built for the spotlight, and the future is bright. Stay tuned.
