Edmonson County HS, KY

Braden is a fast-rising guard/forward whose versatility and motor make him a standout. With his size and speed, he’s a matchup problem, able to shoot over smaller defenders, attack the rim in transition, and guard multiple positions with confidence. Braden combines his length and athleticism with fierce handles, a smooth shot, and the ability to stay in front of quicker guards while also locking up players his size. His game is built on effort and intensity, diving for loose balls, crashing the boards, and bringing an energy that coaches can always count on. What separates him is his hunger; he hustles on every possession, plays with fire, and thrives on making winning plays that spark momentum for his team.

Last season, Braden averaged 8 points and 5 rebounds, showcasing his ability to impact games on both ends of the floor. He also flashed his potential in big moments, including a 25-point performance off the bench where he went 10-for-12 from the field and 4-for-5 from deep, turning heads and putting his name firmly on the radar. His biggest improvement has come defensively, becoming a get-in-your-grill type of defender who forces turnovers and frustrates opponents. Offseason focus has been on strength and vertical development, adding power to his frame to complement his quickness. At the NXTPro Finals, he helped lead his team to an Elite 8 appearance, reaching a major team goal while also continuing to expand his individual game.

Braden prides himself on being a fast, tall guard/forward who can do it all, scoring, rebounding, defending, and making the extra hustle plays that swing momentum. He gets fired up when creating turnovers or forcing mistakes, showing that his competitive fire is just as strong on defense as it is on offense. Coaches should know they’re getting a player who not only works hard but also leads by example. When facing adversity, Braden keeps his composure, brings his teammates together, and blocks out distractions to keep everyone focused on basketball. He plays with a chip on his shoulder, motivated to prove himself after being ranked lower than he believes he should be. Next season, he’s determined to surprise people and make his mark as a name to know.

The best coaching advice Braden has ever received is, " Hard work and hustle earn more respect than big scoring numbers", and he’s taken it to heart. It’s his relentless energy, combined with IQ and skill, that gets noticed most. Off the court, he enjoys golf, but basketball remains his focus, spending countless hours in the gym working on his craft. That dedication, along with his natural tools, makes him one of the most intriguing prospects in his class.

I assess that Braden’s length, speed, and versatility give him a unique skill set that translates to any system. He can stretch the floor, create his own shot, guard multiple positions, and change the flow of a game with his hustle. His leadership qualities and ability to energize teammates make him a player who can immediately impact a program by bringing toughness and two-way value.

As Braden continues to add strength and explosiveness, expect his production and confidence to rise even higher. His defensive edge, mixed with his ability to score at all three levels, positions him as a complete player with a huge ceiling. He’s already shown flashes of dominance in camps and big games, and his determination to prove himself ensures that his best basketball is still ahead. Braden is a fierce competitor with the potential to become an impact player at the next level. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead as the chip on his shoulder and that fire prove how far he's come. He is just getting started.
