Carter is explosive, fierce, and dynamic, a full-throttle freight train coming downhill with purpose, and he’s not stopping for anyone. A powerfully built, electric playmaker with all-purpose capability, Carter brings more than just speed and strength to the field, he brings energy that shifts the momentum of a game. With a devastating first step, crafty vision, and violent cuts through the lane, he’s the type of back that doesn’t just hit the hole; it's with malicious intent. What separates Carter from every other back in his class is how complete his game truly is. He’s not just a workhorse runner with electric home-run speed but a patient student of the game who understands blocking schemes, sells fakes to perfection, and takes pride in his pass protection. His versatility, paired with his football IQ, makes him a nightmare to scheme against and a coach’s dream to unleash.
The stats tell a story of dominance, finishing the season with 1,917 total yards, 1,762 of them coming on the ground, 29 touchdowns, and an eye-popping 11.4 yards per carry. That kind of production doesn’t happen by accident but is the result of relentless offseason work. Carter’s biggest focus has been agility, giving him even more tools to be a true all-purpose weapon. He’s added finesse to his already fierce downhill style, improving his lateral movement and balance while maintaining the power that punishes defenders. His motivation burns deep after losing the district championship left a fire in his chest, but it’s the memory of his grandmother that keeps him focused on his “why.” Everything he does is rooted in purpose. Faith fuels his steps and quiet strength in adversity, taking it one prayer and one step at a time,, which shows awise young mane beyond his years.
Carter breaks the mold of a traditional running back. He studies the defensive front and locks onto linebacker tendencies before the ball is snapped. Even when he’s not carrying the rock, he’s engaged in blocking, selling fakes, and doing the dirty work that often gets overlooked. His physical gifts are undeniable, but it’s his mentality, that 100% effort every rep, that separates him. He’s already drawn interest from Nebraska, NIU, Lindenwood, Valparaiso, and Indiana State, with more eyes quickly tuning in. He believes he can compete at the D1 FCS level or higher, and he’s hungry to earn that opportunity through consistency and outworking the competition.
Carter is looking for a program that respects him as a man, not just a number. He values coaches who are genuine, welcoming, and invested in their players’ growth on and off the field. Off the field, Carter is grounded in faith, guided by the advice that has carried him through every trial: “You can fail seven times, as long as you get up eight.” That resilience bleeds into everything he does.
I assess that Carter’s ability to read defenses, explode through gaps, and do damage after contact makes him an ideal fit for a balanced college offense. His patience as a runner, willingness to block, and versatility to be used in multiple schemes all point to a player who can contribute early. Add in his discipline, humility, and relentless work ethic, and you’ve got a back who can elevate a college program both on the field and in the locker room.
Expect Carter to keep improving. His ceiling is sky-high because he’s built his foundation the right way through faith, sweat, and grit. As he continues developing as a receiver and refining his agility, his potential as a three-down back only expands
Moving forward, expect Carter to keep evolving into one of Missouri's most dynamic offensive weapons. His focus on agility and versatility is turning him into a true all-purpose back, capable of being a threat in any situation. As he continues to push his limits, stay disciplined in his faith, and outwork his competition, his performances will only become more explosive and consistent. The next chapter will be bigger, faster, and louder.
Carter holds the potential to thrive at the FCS level or even higher, with a frame built for college football and a work ethic that never cools. His ability to read defenses, punish defenders, and contribute on every down gives him long-term value. With continued development and exposure, Carter has the tools to become a game-changing back for any program willing to invest in a relentless competitor. Stay tuned.
