Tough, fearless, and full of fire, Damari is a force to be reckoned with every time he steps on the floor. He is a 6’3, 200-pound wrecking ball with the swag of a scoring guard and the strength of a big, he mixes power and finesse in a way that demands attention. He’s electric from beyond the arc, confident in bringing the rain from deep, and has a court vision that feeds his feel for the game. But what really separates Damari is his relentless motor on the glass, especially on the offensive end, where he muscles his way into extra possessions and punishes teams with second-chance buckets. Coaches can count on one thing: when Damari’s on the floor, he’s going all out with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove.

After averaging 15 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists this past season, Damari’s evolution is taking serious shape. One of his biggest improvements was dropping weight and transforming his body, which has helped him move quicker, attack harder, and improve defensively, an area he’s locked in on. His offseason grind is centered around strength training, improving his first step, and becoming a more consistent shooter. With his eyes set on the 3SSB Nationals in South Carolina on July 30, Damari is ready to bring the heat for Jay Academy. Every rep, every drill, every game is fueled by a desire to give 100%, fueled by a fire that won’t burn out.

Damari plays the game with passion and heart, but he’s also anchored by faith. He keeps his composure, trusts the process, and leans into the words that have shaped his mindset: stay calm, never give up, and always believe in God. Those reminders fuel him when the pressure rises. Whether he’s lighting it up on the court or relaxing with video games off it, his belief in himself and in his purpose never wavers.

I assess that Damari’s physical presence, floor awareness, and rebounding toughness can be game-changing for any program. His commitment to both ends of the floor, combined with his willingness to do the dirty work, gives him the ability to impact the game far beyond the stat sheet. A coach looking for someone who brings grit and leadership won’t need to look further.

Expect a stronger, quicker, and more savvy version of Damari moving forward. As he continues to shape his body, evolve his game, and gain confidence in his jumper and defensive consistency, his ceiling only rises while staying locked in and keeps feeding that motor with purpose, he’s going to be a name that rises fast. Stay tuned for another monster season ahead.
