Richard is a big-bodied guard with the mindset of a floor general and the size of a forward, making him a rare and dangerous weapon on the floor. With the ball in his hands, he takes control of the moment, always looking to make the right read and set up winning plays. His passing vision is one of his biggest strengths, and with his strong build and aggressive rebounding, Richard impacts the game far beyond just scoring. He's a confident shot-maker who can bully smaller defenders, attack the glass, and pile up assists in transition. The ball moves through him with purpose, and when the pressure mounts, Richard embraces the moment.

This past season, Richard averaged 14.5 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists per game, showcasing his ability to do a little bit of everything. His biggest improvement came in his confidence, trusting his shot more and believing in his ability to change the game. Now in the weight room consistently, he's seeing physical evidence that is translating directly to his performance. His focus this offseason is on tightening his handles and becoming even more dangerous, creating off the bounce. He plays AAU for the Harnett County Hornets and has already made noise at events like the Made Hoops tournament. With a new team built around younger talent, Richard is stepping into a leadership role and looking to raise his impact, especially on the defensive end.

What fuels Richard runs deeper than competition, he plays in honor of his favorite uncle and aunt, who passed before ever seeing him play in high school. Every time he steps on the court, he carries their memory with him, using that pain as fuel to go harder and push further. Early on, adversity shook him, but he’s learned how to respond, how to adapt, and how to battle through the tough stretches. The best coaching advice he’s received is, "While you’re resting, someone else is working." That message drives him to stay in the gym, stay ready, and keep chasing greatness.

Off the court, Richard enjoys quiet time at home and making memories with family. Basketball is his passion, but family is his foundation.

I assess that Richard’s ability to impact every area of the game makes him a valuable asset at the next level. Coaches will love his combination of size, vision, and unselfish play. With continued focus on handle development and off-ball defense, he’ll grow into a matchup nightmare capable of running the offense or thriving as a playmaking wing.

Expect Richard to keep rising. His growth mindset, competitive fire, and personal motivation give him a foundation you can build around. As he develops more confidence in his handle and expands his scoring bag, he’s going to be a tough cover and a powerful voice on any squad he joins. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
