'Fire in His Faith, Fight in His Game"

Kaleb brings a little bit of everything to the court, but leadership is at the heart of his game. He describes himself as a vocal leader who will defend 94 feet, get his teammates involved, and score when his team needs a bucket. His offensive arsenal gives him several ways to make his presence felt, whether he's attacking downhill, pulling up for the smooth middy, or stepping behind the three-point line and letting it fly. Add his willingness to facilitate and rebound, and Kaleb brings versatility that can impact a game in several different ways.

His junior season gave him plenty to build on as he earned Honorable Mention recognition in a loaded District 11-6A. Kaleb had multiple games with 8 or more assists, double-digit scoring, 7 or more rebounds, 3 or more offensive boards, and at least one steal. Those numbers tell a story about a guard who wasn't limited to putting points on the board because he was creating shots for teammates, crashing the boards, and getting his hands into passing lanes. His ability to stuff the stat sheet showed how much he could contribute without needing everything offensively to run through him.

One of the biggest improvements in Kaleb's game has come from becoming a stronger three-point shooter while learning how to control his pace and play with more patience. He's also developed more confidence in every area, which can make a major difference for a guard who already possesses the tools to create for himself and others. Instead of feeling like he has to rush something into existence, he's learning when to attack, when to slow things down, and when to trust the work he's put into his jumper.

That growth continued during a strong summer with Team Nation on the P32 circuit, where Kaleb helped his team win the P32 Classic Championship. Winning that championship made the summer even sweeter, while his play helped bring attention from college coaches within the program. Competing in that environment gave him another chance to show his toughness, guard skills, and willingness to contribute wherever his team needed him.

The journey hasn't always been smooth for Kaleb because there's been moments when his confidence was stripped away, times when he felt he wasn't being used correctly and situations where he believed coaches overlooked him or didn't give him a real chance. Instead of allowing those experiences to define where his journey was headed, he learned patience and leaned deeper into his faith. Kaleb believes God uses obstacles and tribulations to test that faith, and those difficult moments have taught him to continue believing even when things aren't going the way he hoped.

His offseason work has been focused on elevating his three-point shot off the bounce, becoming a louder leader both on and off the court, and continuing to understand pace and patience as a guard. Those areas can add another layer to an offensive game that already has downhill attacks, midrange scoring, and playmaking. Kaleb has put real purpose behind his preparation because he wants to enter the upcoming season ready to chase a state championship and earn First Team All-District recognition while showing exactly what he can bring to a team.

Coaches can expect Kaleb to compete every time he touches the floor because he takes pride in doing way more than scoring. He wants loose balls, embraces picking up full court, finds open teammates, and rebounds with aggression from the guard position. His ability to play the 1-3 gives a coach different ways to use him, while his willingness to listen and do what's asked speaks to the team-first mentality he wants attached to his name. One of the underrated strengths in his game is that rebounding ability because guards who are willing to mix it up on the boards can create extra possessions and quickly turn defense into offense.

Everything Kaleb is chasing has a deeper source behind it because family and faith fuel his fire. He believes his basketball gifts come from God and that he's been given those talents for a purpose. That belief shapes why he plays, why he keeps pushing through difficult moments, and why representing his family carries so much meaning every time he takes the floor. Basketball is something Kaleb pours himself into, but his faith gives that journey a foundation much deeper than wins, numbers, or recognition.

I assess that Kaleb is a fierce two-way guard whose voice, defensive intensity, and offensive versatility give him several ways to leave his fingerprints on a game. His ability to pressure the ball for 94 feet can disrupt an opposing guard's rhythm, while his combination of downhill scoring, midrange touch, and improving perimeter shooting makes him dangerous with the ball. His vision adds another weapon because he can create for teammates, and his willingness to battle for rebounds gives him added value from the backcourt.

Kaleb's growth in patience, pace, and confidence could unlock another level within his overall skill set during the upcoming season. The summer championship run provided valuable experience, while the work he's put into shooting off the bounce can make defenders think twice about giving him room on the perimeter. His competitive nature, coachability, and desire to lead give him a strong foundation, and his hunger to turn past adversity into fuel makes this upcoming season one he has been working hard to make count.
