Coming off a monster sophomore season where he averaged 21 points, 9.8 rebounds, 2.4 steals, and 1.8 blocks per game, Tatum earned 2A Player of the Year honors while leading Simla to its first state title in 38 years, playing side-by-side with his brother. His biggest improvement came in his midrange jumper, which has become a serious weapon in his bag. Now, he’s focused on developing a more consistent three-ball, quicker feet, and tighter handles to round out his game. Tatum is playing up with the 17U PLUTO Prospects and gearing up for his next big challenge of a tournament in Chicago, with Peach Jam qualification on the horizon.

The best coaching advice he’s ever received is "Be yourself. Don’t overcompensate, believe in who you are." That mindset, coupled with his faith, keeps him grounded. Off the court, he’s a 4.0 student, a multi-sport athlete (football, baseball, and golf), and a young man who cherishes time working alongside his father on the family farm.
