Lilydale Heights College, Victoria (Australia)

Charlie is a dynamic force with the ball in his hands. As a taller point guard, he blends size, control, and confidence into a fierce playmaking package. His ability to command an offense, slash through defenses, and knock down threes off the catch gives him a toolkit that’s rare for his age. What separates Charlie is not just his physical size but his poise. He plays at his own tempo, calmly dissecting defenses while always staying one move ahead. Explosive at the rim and silky smooth from deep, Charlie brings an elite feel for the game, fluid footwork, and an athletic edge that makes him a nightmare matchup on both ends. Coaches should know they’re getting toughness, leadership, and a relentless drive to dominate his matchup and control the pace of play every time Charlie takes the floor.

Charlie averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in last year’s state league season, but numbers only tell part of the story. The biggest improvement in his game came from beyond the arc, where he transformed into a fearless shooter under pressure, now draining contested threes with swagger. His offseason goals are to increase his shooting consistency off the dribble, elevate his 94-foot defense, and build even more strength to maximize his athletic gifts. He’s already proving he belongs among the elite. At just 15, Charlie earned a rare call-up to the Under-23 Kilsyth squad, one of only three players his age in the entire state to reach that level. That moment unlocked a new gear, and he’s taken off since. He also delivered one of the most electric performances of the season, dropping 28 points, 8 boards, and 6 dimes against Mickinnon in the Victorian Under-18 Championship game.

This year, Charlie is ready to take control as his team’s go-to weapon. After playing beside Australia’s top talent the past two seasons, he’s hungry to prove he can carry the scoring load and be the guy. Nothing fuels him more than getting scored on or falling behind in a head-to-head battle, those moments flip a switch and bring out his fiercest side. He lets his preparation speak loudest when adversity hits, always falling back on the countless hours of sweat and grind in the gym. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, “Play at your own pace”. This lesson has shaped his smooth, commanding style ever since.

I assess that Charlie’s length, vision, and mature feel at the point guard position offer serious potential for college programs looking for a true floor general with scoring punch. His growing confidence from beyond the arc, paired with his ability to attack the rim, makes him a dual threat. Defensively, his athleticism and evolving on-ball quickness point to a strong two-way impact at the next level.

Expect Charlie to rise fast. He’s already ahead of the curve developmentally, and with the leadership role now fully in his hands, he’s poised for a breakout stretch. His blend of IQ, size, and fire makes him a must-watch prospect with the tools to become a dominant playmaker and a legitimate top option in any system. Stay tuned.
