Electric with the ball in his hands and fearless when it’s time to attack, Cody brings an explosive energy to the floor that fuels momentum and elevates everyone around him. He’s a crafty guard with a natural feel for the game who is able to create plays in tight spaces, change speeds with confidence, and get to the rim with fierce determination. Whether he’s leading the fast break, orchestrating in the half-court, or dropping defenders with his catch-and-shoot ability, Cody’s game is defined by versatility and sharp instincts. He sees the court like a seasoned vet and plays with a hunger that’s impossible to teach. Defense is where he truly thrives, turning stops into instant offense and setting the tone with effort that never lets up.

Through his current AAU season, Cody has been producing consistently with 10 points, 4.5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 rebounds per game, numbers that back up the dynamic impact he makes on both ends. His biggest improvement has come from the perimeter, where his jump shot has taken a major leap forward. This offseason, he’s fully locked in on expanding his offensive bag by developing a smooth off-the-dribble jumper and adding more explosiveness to his game. That focus is fueled by last season’s toughest moment, an ankle injury that sidelined him for a month but ended up teaching him patience, grit, and how to lead even when he wasn’t playing. That time off shifted his mentality and made him even more committed to the grind.

Cody plays with Chattanooga Steam on the AAU circuit, and his game travels with him. The ESPN Tournament in Orlando from July 3–6 is circled on his calendar, and he’s hungry to make noise on that stage. He’s also looking ahead to the high school season, where a larger role on varsity is waiting, and he’s preparing to take full command of it. Playing with confidence, leadership, and urgency, he’s not just showing up—he’s showing out.

Off the court, Cody enjoys chilling with friends and finding time to just relax and reset. But once he’s between the lines, it’s all business. What fuels him most is getting stops, those moments that flip games and give his team life. When facing adversity, his mindset shifts to selflessness, thinking about his teammates and remembering that they need his energy, leadership, and belief. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, "There are plenty of good players out there. What separates you is how you stand out". Cody took that to heart and carries it with him.

I assess that Cody is an aggressive, high-IQ guard who plays with intensity and leads with purpose. His ability to create offense off the bounce, make smart reads, and pressure the ball on defense gives him the tools to impact games in multiple ways. He’s the kind of player who raises a team’s energy level with his effort and presence. That combination of skill and motor gives him long-term value as a backcourt floor general who sets the tone.

Cody’s potential is sky-high, thanks to his dedication to growth and his fearless approach to the game. As he develops his pull-up game and adds more athletic pop, he becomes a bigger matchup problem and a more complete weapon for any college system. With his toughness, playmaking feel, and relentless spirit, programs looking for a competitor who plays bigger than his size will find serious value in what Cody brings. Expect him to continue evolving, he’s far from finished. Stay tuned.
