Jackson is a fierce and fearless competitor built on toughness, effort, and grit. He plays the game at a fast, aggressive pace, even through contact on drives, with physicality for strong finishes. Locking up on defense and never letting up until the final whistle. What separates him is the edge he plays with every possession. He thrives on big-time matchups and relishes the opportunity to shut down the opposing team’s best player. Jackson is physical, determined, and relentless at getting to the rim, but he also keeps defenders guessing with a lethal jumper that makes him a dual-threat scorer. He never takes a play off, never backs down, and never quits, regardless of the scoreboard. Coaches can expect a player who brings maximum effort, grit, and leadership from start to finish.
Jackson averaged 18.9 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists per game this past season. His biggest improvement was his leadership on and off the court. His ability to rally teammates, stay composed in intense moments, and lead through action helped solidify his role as a cornerstone for Calvary Christian. He also showed out in two summer matchups against Sumter Christian, dropping 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 steals at home, after a 25 points, 7 boards, and 4 steals on the road. His offseason focus includes building more strength to finish through contact, improving his shooting touch, and developing his left hand to be just as dangerous as his right. His goal is to become an even more complete scoring threat while raising his free-throw percentage and continuing to be a leader for his team.
Jackson didn’t play AAU this year, but he's focused on making his senior season one to remember. Losing their home playoff game to Victory Christian left a mark, but also gave him confidence and fuel for redemption. He’s determined to lead his squad to the State Tournament and end his high school career with a statement season. On the court, he gets fired up by the energy of his team and when opponents start to break. He feeds off momentum-shifting plays, especially tough buckets in clutch moments. Even when things aren’t going his way, Jackson stays composed and grounded, focusing on hustle plays and clamping up defensively to impact the game.
The best coaching advice he’s ever received is " Control what you can control." He holds tight to that message, giving full effort and staying locked in on doing the little things that win games. Off the court, Jackson enjoys time with friends, reading his Bible, and, of course, more basketball. His love for the game runs deep, and so does his purpose.
I assess that Jackson’s competitive heart, physical playing style, and tough-minded leadership bring a gritty edge to any team. His ability to score in multiple ways and lock in on defense offers coaches a battle-tested guard who plays with urgency and a chip on his shoulder.
As he continues building strength and evolving his all-around game, expect Jackson to step into his senior year as a proven leader ready to carry the load. He has the toughness, mindset, and work ethic to rise and thrive wherever he lands next. He is poised for another monster season ahead and determined to go out guns blazing. Stay tuned.
