Jajczyk is a high octane Point Guard who has an immense impact in any game he plays in. He possesses a versatile skill set, while remaining a pure Point Guard. He is able to seamlessly read the entire court and set up the offense for success. He absolutely thrives getting the transition game going off rebounds and steals, and sets up plenty of easy, fast break buckets. He is explosive off the bounce, and utilizes his speed and strength to dazzle with brilliant, “thread the needle passes” in truly dramatic fashion. He may be just 5’10” but he gobbles up rebounds and is an intense, ruthless defender.
This past season, Jajczyk was named the Warren Classic Player of the Game by radio station WSEO 107.7. He led the team in scoring, en route to being the District runner up. With all that success, the thing that he focuses on is how his team lost in the District Championship game. That loss left him with a very bad taste in his mouth, and he put in the work this entire offseason to make sure that history doesn’t repeat itself. He wants to bring Trimble their 11th district championship, and make a state run. His personal goal is to be named Conference Player of the Year, First Team All-District, and All-State.
Playing AAU for the TEP Select, he wanted to compete against the best competition possible, in order to prepare for his upcoming high school season. He has learned to take a deep breath, and slow the game down and focus on the transitional game.
This kid is just a fierce competitor who absolutely hates to lose. He goes out and gives 110% not just for himself, but also for his family, who has always fully supported him.
When things are not going quite right on the court, he has the ability to identify the problem, and immediately remedy it on the fly. That is a leader!
When asked what a coach can expect from him, he said “I am going always going to give it 110% each and every single time I step onto the court. I don’t care who we are playing against, they are just yet another opponent standing in our way. I’m not afraid to be verbal and help everyone around me identify what we can all do to get better. I will dive into the stands or slide across the hardwood to snatch a loose ball. I just want to win.”
His dream is to play college basketball. My personal assessment after watching him play in real time is he can absolutely achieve his dream. He is fierce and loaded with talent and hasn’t even come close to hitting his ceiling yet. He fully understands the discipline and work ethic you have to be willing to put in in order to be successful. I will be keeping a very close eye on this kid for the next 3 years.
