5’8”, 145lbs, Class of 2028
Clinton County HS, KY
Don’t let the size fool you, Chase plays with the fire, flair, and focus of a giant. A fast-paced, high-IQ floor general with the ball on a string, Chase brings an explosive combination of elite ball-handling, crafty three-level scoring, and pinpoint decision-making to the court every time he checks in. What separates him from everyone else at his position is the ability to play with relentless tempo while still maintaining full control, he reads the game like a coach in sneakers and executes like a savvy veteran. Coaches can expect leadership, fierce competitiveness, and a fearless playmaker who sets the tone for everyone around him. From pushing pace to picking apart defenses, Chase is the kind of player who electrifies the game while facilitating the team’s rhythm.
This past season, Chase elevated his confidence and control as a scorer and vocal leader. He embraced a larger role for Clinton County and proved he could lead under pressure and deliver in big moments. The biggest improvement in his game came from owning the floor with a bolder presence and learning how to lift up his teammates as much as himself. His offseason goals are to build more explosiveness, he’s locked in on increasing his vertical, adding speed and strength, finishing stronger through contact, and becoming a gritty on-ball defender. As he prepares for an electric AAU run with Kentucky Future on the NXT Pro Puma Circuit, Chase is ready to light up the floor in national showcases. The NXT Pro Finals in Orlando are circled on his calendar, and his goals are to win, dominate and put scouts on notice.
Looking ahead to the next school season, Chase is ready to take full control as the on-court leader of Clinton County. His hunger for competition drives him, and he embraces the grind, thrives in tough matchups, and never backs down from a challenge. His response to adversity is to stay locked in, stay positive, and keep working harder than anyone else. That competitive edge is matched with a mindset shaped by one of his favorite mottos: “Stay low, stay sharp, and lead by example.” It’s this unshakable foundation that keeps him grounded, focused, and always improving.
I assess that Chase’s ability to read the game, push tempo, and execute under pressure makes him a floor general that can elevate an entire program. His combination of speed, leadership, and playmaking gives any team a true engine at the point who can command the floor and spark runs on both ends.
With each rep, each challenge, and each game, Chase is making a name as a fearless competitor and complete point guard. He’s already proven he can lead, score, and create at a high level, now it’s about dominating in bigger moments and shining on larger stages. His potential is sky-high because he brings the intangibles that can’t be taught, heart, vision, and relentless work ethic. As he continues to evolve, expect Chase to become one of the most impactful and exciting guards in the 2028 class, one who college programs will be lucky to build around. Stay tuned for what likely will be a breakout season ahead.
