Cooper is a high-IQ shot maker and smooth playmaker who lets the game come to him, never forcing, always reading, and striking when the moment’s right. He’s a sharp shooter with unlimited range and a selfless approach, known for his unshakable calm and ability to set the tone without saying a word. Cooper is unofficially averaging around 12–15 points and 6 assists per game, so Cooper plays with control, poise, and maturity beyond his years. Whether it’s running the floor, spacing the court, or creating transition opportunities off a defensive stop, he thrives by making smart decisions and doing what his team needs. A strong floor leader with a focus on efficiency and effort, Cooper isn’t just a shot-taker; he’s a difference-maker.
This past season, Cooper helped lead his squad through an undefeated circuit run, delivering consistent offense and selfless play. His biggest improvement came on the defensive end, with quicker footwork, faster closeouts, and improved transition reads. He’s been locked in on building strength, growing his confidence in the paint, and attacking more at the rim. The little growth spurt and added weight this offseason have been a boost, but the real gain has been in speed, purpose, and intention. Cooper plays with full confidence in his game, and every coach who watches him quickly sees a leader who’s coachable, competitive, and always working harder than the rest.
His motivation is anchored in faith; he plays for the glory of God, grounded in devotion and purpose both on and off the court. Whether he’s giving a sermon, playing a round of golf, or hanging out with friends, Cooper carries himself with humility and quiet confidence. He handles adversity with composure, never letting the game’s pace rattle him, and always staying in rhythm with the moment. The best coaching advice he’s carried with him is, “Don’t let the time on the clock or the pressure of the play determine your whole game.” And that mentality has made all the difference.
Looking ahead, Cooper is locked in on making a real impact on the varsity team, gaining more exposure, and showing what he brings to the table. He’s not trying to be flashy but hungry for wins, growth, and the chance to help his team compete at a high level.
I assess that Cooper’s basketball IQ, efficiency, and composure make him a coach’s dream at the guard spot. His sharp shooting, selfless playmaking, and ability to lead with poise give him the tools to impact games on both ends while elevating everyone around him.
With continued strength and speed development, Cooper is moving toward becoming a complete guard who can facilitate the floor, defend multiple positions, and deliver in big moments. Expect him to keep rising as he embraces the varsity level and makes his name known across the region. Get him on your radar now; this train is only just getting started. Stay tuned.
