Keiji brings the size of a forward with the skillset of a true guard, a dynamic combination that makes him a nightmare matchup across the board. He operates with the swagger of a playmaker, showcasing elite shooting, standout vision, and a high-level feel for the game. Whether he’s stretching the floor, finding the open man, or reading a defense before it even sets, Keiji plays with purpose and poise. What separates him from others at his position is his versatility as a big guard who can defend the point, control the tempo, and light it up from deep without ever forcing the action. His game is built on instincts, IQ, and the freedom to make plays, and when he's locked in, he brings a smooth yet fierce presence that anchors both ends.

This past season at Holy Cross, Keiji averaged 8.9 points and 5 rebounds per game in the ultra-competitive Catholic League, proving he can produce in pressure-packed environments. His biggest improvement was on the defensive end, where he took pride in guarding smaller, quicker point guards and getting stops. But he’s not done growing. This offseason, Keiji is locked in elevating his first step, working on exploding past defenders and finishing strong through contact. He’s focused on building a more aggressive edge while continuing to expand his offensive game.

He’s playing for NYC United on the AAU circuit, using the summer to have fun, play freely, meet new teammates, and compete at a high level. While he’s excited for every tournament, the real mission is internal. unlocking more of his game and embracing the full range of what he can do. With city championship hopes and D1 goals on the horizon, Keiji is attacking every moment with purpose.

What fuels him most on the court is a big-time defensive play, a stop, a strip, or a block at the rim that flips the momentum and lights a spark. When adversity comes, Keiji stays grounded. He pauses, resets, and looks at the full picture, always trying to find a positive within the struggle. It’s that level-headed approach, combined with confidence and talent, that sets him up for continued growth.

The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, “Elbow in.” Simple, sharp, and straight to the point, just like his jumper. Off the court, Keiji enjoys the vibe of the city, spending time at the park, discovering new spots in NYC, and finding the best food around. His appreciation for the game, his platform, and those who support players like him speaks volumes about his character.

I assess that Keiji’s length, court vision, and elite shooting ability make him a high-value guard who fits today’s positionless game. His growth on defense and emerging ability to attack off the bounce give him the tools to impact a college program as a versatile weapon.
