Gabriel is a dynamic playmaker with an electric handle; he weaves through defenses with a smooth yet explosive style and makes the game move at his pace with the ball in his hands. His ability to create shots from all three levels makes him a nightmare to guard, and his lethal shooting touch allows him to rise up against taller defenders and bury tough shots. Gabriel's court vision is nice, and whether he's threading a pinpoint pass or attacking the rim, his presence demands attention. Even under pressure, he keeps his composure, showcasing the kind of poise that separates special guards from the rest.
This season, Gabriel averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.3 rebounds per game, shooting 38% from the field, 40% inside the arc, 37% from three, and 72% at the free throw line. His biggest improvement was in his ability to handle pressure, keeping defenders on their heels while creating opportunities for himself and his teammates. Offseason work will focus on finishing at the rim against bigger defenders, adding another level to his already well-rounded offensive game. His ultimate motivation is helping his team rack up more wins and pushing for a deep playoff run.
While he hasn’t locked in an AAU team just yet, Gabriel has strong interest from multiple squads looking to add his playmaking and shot-making to their roster. His goals for the summer are to gain more exposure, showcase his talent, and elevate his game against top-tier competition. Next season, Gabriel is locked in on a district championship and making a strong push in the regional tournament. The energy of big moments fuels him, especially when his team is on a roll, and the gym is rocking with excitement.
Off the court, Gabriel enjoys the support of those who have helped him along the way, never forgetting the people who’ve played a role in his journey. Gabriel carries himself with confidence but remains grounded in the best advice he’s ever received: "Keep your head up and focus on the next play because if you let yourself get down, your whole game will suffer." That allows him to shake off adversity and stay locked in no matter the situation. The words that guide him the most are "Champions behave like champions before they become champions."
I assess that Gabriel’s skill set translates well to the next level.
