Casey is a shifty, electric perimeter threat who blends crafty shot-making with a tenacious defensive presence. His smooth shooting touch, pull-up jumper, and ability to finish at all three levels make him a constant offensive weapon. Defensively, he uses his length to disrupt opponents, swatting away shots and making plays that shift momentum. Casey's game is built on skill, confidence, and an ever-growing intensity that makes him a tough matchup on both ends of the floor.
Casey put up strong numbers this season, averaging 12 PPG, 2.5 AST, 7 RBD, and 2 BPG, showcasing his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. His biggest improvement was his confidence and defense, two key areas that have taken his game to another level. Last season, hesitation held him back, but this year, he embraced the challenge of creating his own shot and playing with a fearless mentality. His defensive growth has been just as impressive, as he’s become quicker laterally and more effective in staying in front of the ball. Looking ahead, Casey is focused on getting stronger in the weight room to elevate his physicality in the post. He’s also putting in extra work on his ball-handling and speed to enhance his ability to break down defenders and dictate the pace of the game.
Casey runs with Team All In on the AAU circuit, and he’s locked in on making a statement during the live periods, especially at Pre-Nationals in Myrtle Beach. Casey's AAU goal is to average 16+ PPG and secure his first offer.
What fuels his fire is winning. Casey’s hunger to win pushes him to go beyond 100% every time he steps on the court. He doesn’t let adversity shake him, instead he uses his energy toward the bigger picture by turning setbacks into motivation and focusing on the next play. The best advice Casey has received is, "Don’t play if you’re only going to give it 100%; give all you have and more." It’s how Casey stays locked in and relentless in his pursuit of greatness.
I assess that Casey brings a dynamic skill set that fits perfectly into today’s game. His length and shooting ability make him a dangerous perimeter threat, while his defensive instincts add value on the other end. As he continues to add strength and tighten his handle, his ability to play multiple positions will make him even more appealing to college coaches. With Casey's intense work ethic and competitive drive, he’s just scratching the surface of his full potential.
Expect a breakout summer filled with explosive scoring, gritty defense, and major steps toward becoming a complete two-way player. Casey Mount is coming, and he’s coming with everything he’s got.
