Shavar is a fierce, electric combo guard with a fearless approach and nonstop motor. His game is built on crafty ball handling, explosive quickness, and an uncanny ability to slice through traffic and finish with flair. He’s relentless when attacking the rim, constantly using his athleticism and dynamic pace to keep defenders off balance. His shiftiness in tight spaces and a fiery confidence that lights up the floor separates him. With a swagger in his handle and creativity in his finishes, Shavar brings the excitement that fuels his team. He plays with a fearless energy that leaps off the court, feeding off every steal, stop, or bucket like it’s oxygen.
During the school season, Shavar averaged 15 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal, proving he can deliver despite his youth. In AAU action with the MI Trailblazers, he’s putting up 10 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals per game, showcasing his tenacious on-ball defense and vision in transition. His biggest growth has come from an athletic leap and improved strength, which has elevated both his confidence and impact. Shavar’s shooting and mid-range jumper have also become weapons, and he’s laser-focused this offseason on continuing to sharpen his scoring tools. His goal is to boost his stats, lead his team to a national title, and make his name known in elite events like Made Hoops and Jr EYBL. His greatest motivation? The feeling of getting his team going with a big-time steal or first bucket—those moments energize him and bring the fire out of his game.
Shavar plays with the MI Trailblazers, and the bright lights of big-time tournaments have him hungry to prove himself against top talent. With Jr EYBL and Made Hoops coming soon he’s looking to make waves with his play and seize the spotlight. He’s not just there to compete, but he’s showing up to dominate, with the goal of turning heads and getting noticed on the national stage. His AAU mission is to help his team win while pushing himself to elevate his averages and take the next leap as a leader.
Off the court, Shavar is just as committed. He takes school seriously, keeps his grades strong, and understands the value of discipline. His daily grind includes workouts, pick-up games against older players, and a mindset rooted in outworking everyone around him. He lives by the belief that hard work always pays off and it’s clear he’s betting on his work ethic and faith to carry him far. The advice that’s stuck with him is “Be yourself and trust your grind.” It’s this mindset that keeps him level when shots aren’t falling, encouraging his teammates and staying locked in no matter what.
I assess that Shavar is a spark plug who plays with explosive energy and fearless control. His ability to create off the bounce and finish through contact makes him a constant scoring threat, while his court vision allows him to keep teammates involved. He defends with intensity, jumps passing lanes, and brings nonstop hustle. His dynamic presence impacts both ends of the floor and injects confidence into his team. He’s a leader by example who never backs down regardless of size or opponent.
At the next level, Shavar's impact will come from his fierce mentality, polished handle, and ability to create offense for himself and others. His improved strength and shooting touch round out a versatile game that will continue to grow with experience. College coaches can expect a tireless competitor with a high IQ and unshakable drive. As he matures physically and continues to take on high-level competition, his ceiling only climbs higher. The foundation is already strong, now it’s about building toward greatness with every rep.
Expect a fiery guard with heart, hustle, and hunger. Expect highlight moments born from grit and instinct. Expect a player who refuses to be outworked. Shavar is just getting started, and his potential is as explosive as his game. Stay tuned.
