Dailan Holman is the definition of a complete two-way player, explosive when attacking the rim, smooth and lethal from beyond the arc, and fearless when locking down an opponent on defense. He mixes size, strength, and athleticism with a high basketball IQ, allowing him to dissect defenses and create opportunities for both himself and his teammates. He thrives in the open floor, gets downhill with power, and finishes through contact with ease. Just as dangerous off the ball as he is with it, Dailan’s movement, court awareness, and knack for finding the right angles make him a constant scoring threat. On the other end, he’s a defensive stud, relentless in guarding his opponent, disrupting passing lanes, and forcing turnovers that ignite fast breaks.
Last season, Dailan averaged 15 points, 2.14 assists, 6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game, shooting a blistering 55% from inside the arc and 40% from three. His biggest improvement came in confidence, trusting his shot and taking the looks that the defense gave him. His AAU highlights were even more impressive, where he averaged 20 points, 2.75 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2.5 steals per game, lighting it up for an incredible 62% from two and 50% from beyond the arc. This past season’s progress laid the foundation for even greater production, with offseason goals focused on tightening his handles, dominating the glass on every possession, and continuing to grow as a scorer at all three levels. His mindset is to do whatever it takes to win, whether that’s knocking down a big shot, locking up the opposing team’s best player, or creating plays that let his teammates shine.
What sets Dailan apart is his poise and command of the game. He understands spacing, movement, and timing, how to pick apart defenses, open up lanes, and put his team in the best position to score. His composure under pressure and ability to stick to the game plan make him a steady presence even in the highest-pressure moments. Off the court, he enjoys spending time with family, caring for his body, and even finding balance by playing the piano.
I assess that Dailan’s scoring versatility, defensive toughness, and high basketball IQ make him a game-ready addition for any college program. His ability to impact both ends of the floor, shoot at a high percentage, and create for others ensures that he will fit easily into a variety of systems. He brings a winning mentality, a relentless work ethic, and a selfless approach to the game that can elevate the performance of everyone around him.
Looking ahead, Dailan’s continued growth in ball-handling and rebounding will only expand his already dangerous skill set. Expect him to emerge as one of the most complete and dependable players in his class, capable of being a go-to scorer, a defensive stopper, and a trusted leader. With his combination of efficiency, competitiveness, and maturity, his ceiling is sky-high to becoming a conference standout and a player opponents must prepare for every time he steps on the floor. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
