As a dynamic and versatile athlete, Gavin’s game revolves around his ability to be a true triple threat. On the offensive end, he can score from anywhere on the floor, showcasing his athleticism with above-the-rim finishes and a smooth shooting touch. Defensively, Gavin is ruthless, making steals look as easy as taking candy from a baby and taking charges with unmatched intensity. His relentless energy and competitiveness make him a player who leaves everything on the court.

Gavin describes himself as an athletic "3 and D" player. While his defensive prowess and shooting ability stand out, he is focused on improving his ball-handling and basketball IQ to become an even more complete player. Gavin's confidence fuels his fire, and he thrives on challenges that push him beyond his comfort zone. Playing for Judah Nation on the Pro 16 circuit, Gavin took on the competition at the 17U level as a 16-year-old, proving his ability to rise to the occasion. Last season, Gavin averaged double digits while facing post-grad and national teams, a testament to his skill and work ethic.

This season, Gavin’s primary goal is to earn a college scholarship. To achieve that, Gavin knows he’ll need to continue stepping outside of his comfort zone and embracing growth opportunities wherever they arise. One of the biggest games Gavin is looking forward to is against DME National, a team known for its high level of competition. Although his team doesn’t compete in the postseason, every matchup is a chance for Gavin to refine his game and showcase his ability.

Gavin’s approach to adversity is simple but powerful: maintain a “next play mentality.” Whether it’s a tough loss or a mistake on the court, he focuses on moving forward and staying locked in. The best advice Gavin has ever received—“Get 1% better every day”—is a principle he lives by. For Gavin, incremental improvement is the key to long-term success.

Gavin enjoys activities like bowling, ping pong, and video games off the court, showing that his competitive spirit extends beyond basketball. As he strives to reach the next level, he’s determined to bring the same focus and intensity to every facet of his game, proving he has what it takes to excel at the collegiate level.

I assess that Gavin has more than validated he can compete and thrive on the next level by already playing against some really high-level talent and showcasing his skills effectively against them. 3&D is a coach's dream, and that competitive edge has ignited a fire within Gavin, giving him sheer determination to succeed. Passion, purpose, and skill mark Gavin to be the solid impact for any program that lands him.
