Electric and unpredictable, Ethan is a crafty, dynamic guard who brings an explosive energy to every play. With a fierce motor on defense and a relentless drive around the rim, he thrives in the chaos of competition. Whether he's dropping a dazzling dime through a tight window or locking ip a ball handler 94 feet from the hoop, Ethan plays with controlled chaos that rattles opponents. He doesn't rely on vertical flash, but makes up for it with smart body control and tough finishing from every angle. His outside shot is lethal when he decides to let it fly, and when he’s in his zone, his confidence makes every defender look a step slow.

This past season, Ethan averaged 6 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists per game, a stat line that validates him as a young guard making waves and an all-around playmaker. His biggest improvement was his confidence, finally stepping into his role as a playmaker who knows when to create without second-guessing himself. That unlocked his ability to attack at will. The focus this offseason? Ball handling and passing IQ. He already throws flashy passes that wow the crowd, but he's eager to learn how to pick apart defenses with smart reads and strong decisions. The upperclassmen at Elizabethton have taken him under their wing, pushing him to be the kind of floor general that can lead his team into a bright future. That support has been his biggest motivation and reason to double down on his growth.

While he’s not p; playing for an AAU team this season, Ethan has been invited to attend several college camps and plans to use each one as a proving ground. The big one he’s eyeing? Mississippi State. That’s where he hopes to turn heads, bring the same fierce energy, and show coaches he’s ready to climb the next rung. He’s treating these camps as his personal challenge to elevate his skillset, show off his defense, and get noticed for what he brings to the floor.

Off the court, Ethan enjoys slowing things down and soaking in the moments away from the game. But when he steps between those lines, it’s on. What fuels his fire more than anything is the trash talk. That competitive edge lights something inside him, and while his response might be subtle, it’s always sharp, getting the last word through buckets and stops. Adversity doesn’t shake him. When things go wrong, Ertan reminds himself how far he’s come, how much work he’s put in, and that this game, while serious, is meant to be enjoyed. The best advice he's ever carried? “Just because you missed a shot doesn’t mean you sold the game. It’s a team sport, not a one-player show.” He holds that close, along with gratitude to God for giving him the ability to play and grow.

I assess that Ethan’s defensive instincts and rebounding numbers stand out immediately. At 6'0", pulling in 7 boards a game shows grit and timing. His court vision is emerging, and though his passing IQ is a work in progress, the flashes are already there. His ability to finish in traffic, combined with a confident shooting stroke from deep, makes him a versatile weapon in development. He already impacts the game in several ways and embraces his flaws with a hunger to grow. Ethan offers a foundation of defense and energy that coaches love. His potential is in his growth mindset of never being satisfied with flash, he wants function. Once his handle tightens and his reads sharpen, he’ll be able to run an offense and lock down opposing guards. He can become a difference-maker on both ends of the floor, especially if paired with a program that values gritty two-way playmakers.

Ethan is focused on making varsity next season and becoming the defensive backbone of his team. He wants to earn meaningful minutes and score his first varsity points with the crowd roaring. Expect him to be the kind of player who keeps evolving> That surprises people with how quickly he improves. His potential is rooted in his passion, his grind, and his refusal to be outworked. There’s something brewing in Elizabethton, and Ethan is at the center of it. Stay tuned.
