Macon is a crafty triple-threat scoring option with a soft touch. His sneaky speed and athleticism make him a constant threat off the bounce, while his high basketball IQ allows him to make game-winning decisions. He mixes it up on the boards, delivers nice dimes, and is a solid defender. Macon feels his greatest strength is his understanding of the game, enabling him to be a coach on the floor. One of his biggest improvements has been becoming a much better facilitator, further enhancing his ability to lead.

This past season, Macon averaged 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.6 turnovers, and 1.5 steals per game. His biggest basketball accomplishments were scoring 1,000 points and being a part of the first team in Santa Fe history to make it to the state. Macon's primary goal this season is to win the state championship. He believes their biggest challenge is themselves because he feels they are the best team, so they just need to avoid beating themselves. Confident in their ability, Macon thinks they can make a serious push for the state championship, knowing it will take dedication and consistent focus every night.

The biggest rival he looks forward to playing is Richland because of the different types of energy in those games. The electric atmosphere makes them a lot of fun. His hatred of losing fuels his intensity on the court, and he tries to face adversity head-on, never shying away from a challenge. Overcoming adversity only strengthens him, a mindset he embraces in life and basketball.

Outside of basketball, his hobbies include playing baseball at a high level and working on a business venture, Visionary Services, with his friends. Looking ahead, he feels he will need to show out at the state tournament to play at the next level, which is his biggest goal. While he’s unsure of his best division fit, he believes his skill and knowledge of the game will allow him to succeed anywhere. Columbia State and UAB have shown some interest, and he hopes to attract more attention.

Macon brings strong skills, athleticism, and leadership that can significantly impact a next-level program. As an extension of the coach on the floor, he is extremely coachable, performing at a high level while pushing his teammates to do the same. His game flows effortlessly, often resulting in a quiet 20+ points because he operates within the natural rhythm of the game. This season is shaping up to be another state tournament run for Santa Fe as they look to build on their success and cut down the nets for one more historic moment. Buckle up—this ride promises to be exciting till the end. Stay tuned.
