Bowen is a dynamic guard who is a quick and shifty three-level scorer but is lethal on that catch-and-shoot three with a silky smooth release. Bowen has a deep bag of tricks with an elite skill set. Bowen is fierce using his ball-handling ability and explosive first step to get to his spots, knocking down floaters and midrange shots effectively. Bowen has great court vision and is unselfish with the ball always finding the open teammate. Bowen is very athletic. and a pesty on-ball defender locking down his opponent while creating disruptive chaos in the offense..
The most motivating thing that happened last season was having a slow start to their season losing their first few games. Bowen's goal for this upcoming season is to push himself and his teammates to become the best versions of themselves. possible.
Playing AAU for the WV Kings, Bowen's averaged 11.5 points, 7 assists, and 3 rebounds. Bowen's focused area for improvement is to be a vocal leader on and off the court, as well as improve his off-ball movement, such as setting screens and getting open more often.
What fuels Bowen the most is when his team has energy on the bench and on the court.
When dealing with adversity, Bowen stays calm and keeps his composure, and makes the next play.
What sets Bowen apart from others is his work ethic. Bowen lives in the gym and is always finding a way to get better. Whether he is improving his skills, speed, or agility. This also demonstrates his ability to lead by example when it comes to making yourself or your teammates better.
Bowen sees himself playing at any division level. Playing at the next level, Bowen wants to play in an environment and program where he fits best.
I assess that this talented young star hasn't even begun to scratch the surface of just how good he can be. Watching him a couple of weeks ago and his ability to impact a game in multiple ways to get wins is impressive. All the skills with athletic abilities, speed, and defensive swagger are game-changers right now. The potential to be yet another special undersized guard outta WV is certainly there. I'm hyped for the upcoming season and beyond with this young stud being a huge part of the magic at Parkersburg South. Stay tuned!
