Jayden is a scrappy point guard who is crafty with the ball creating shots for himself or dropping sweet dimes for his teammates. Jayden is a sniper from three land, however, he loves attacking the lane for creative finishes. Jayden is also a fierce defender.
This past season Jayden averaged 10 points, 7 assists, and 2 rebounds per game. During AAU Jayden averaged 13 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds per game. Jayden's biggest improvement now is his defense, passing, and ball handling. During his summer season, Jayden just made sure to stay in the gym. He put in extra effort to improve his game.
One thing Jayden learned that will help him in his recruitment has been to always be a team player and always be confident.
Jayden did accomplish most of his AAU goals, including being a better player and teammate.
The fiercest team Jayden played this summer has to be Team Love. They had some top-ranked players in WV and they were just a tough team all around. Jayden held his own and excelled against them.
Jayden's biggest focus this upcoming season is to start and be the best team player. Also, earning the trust of his coach. Especially since he just transferred.
Jayden would tell incoming freshmen to not expect to start or come into high school thinking they are the best. You have to work for everything. It’s not just given but never give up.
I assess that Jayden continues to develop and improve his skills and is looking to be more of a leader with something to prove at his new school. It's going to be worth keeping an eye on how high he flies this season. All his summer work should pay off in real-time. I'm excited to see it. Stay tuned.
