AJ is a fierce, battle-tested floor general who thrives in pressure-packed moments. A true two-way leader, he’s the heartbeat of any team he’s on, setting the tone defensively, lighting it up from deep, and guiding his teammates with poise and purpose. His on-ball defense is relentless, his anticipation is elite, and he sacrifices his body with pride, evidenced by his staggering 18 charges drawn last season. Offensively, AJ is an efficient, confident scorer who is known for big-time threes and clutch free throws. He plays with an unselfish mindset but knows when it’s time to take over, finding the perfect balance between playmaking and scoring.

This past season, AJ averaged 15.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists and shot 83% from the line while helping lead his team to District and Regional championships. His coach challenged him to shoot more and trust his instincts, and the results were electric, doubling his scoring output and making a major leap in offensive impact. Heading into the offseason, AJ is focused on improving his three-point shooting, pushing his free throw percentage above 90%, and learning advanced sets to elevate his IQ and overall control of the game. He’s also locked in on rebounding, determined to impact every area on the floor.

AJ’s biggest lesson came during the run to the State Finals, where he got his first taste of high-level postseason intensity and learned exactly what it takes to reach the next stage. This AAU season, he’s playing with Florida Pro, taking on elite sneaker teams, and making a statement every time out. Coach Marcus believes in the group, and AJ plans to help lead them through big-time wins and a strong showing in June’s NCAA Live events. His goals are to help his team dominate, get noticed by college programs, and turn heads with his play on both ends.

Nothing fires him up more than seeing his team locked in, sharing the ball, and playing connected basketball. He thrives in environments where everyone contributes, where ball movement and trust lead to wins. When facing adversity, AJ lives by the “next play” mentality, never dwelling on mistakes and always focused on the next possession. Coach Marcus gave him the best advice he’s ever received: "Work hard every day, block out the noise, and never forget how far that work can take you".

AJ’s dream is to play college basketball, and he’s putting everything into this season to make that a reality, both with his play and by building strong relationships with coaches watching from the sidelines.

I assess that AJ is a complete point guard who can instantly raise a team’s defensive edge and offensive flow. His three-point shot, leadership, and toughness make him an ideal fit for programs that value gritty, smart, and selfless basketball. He makes winning plays, communicates well, and brings veteran poise with a fierce edge.

Expect AJ to continue evolving into a high-level prospect with all the intangibles and skills to make a major impact at the next level. His floor leadership, clutch shooting, and defensive discipline will only become more dangerous as his game continues to evolve. His potential is real, and he’s ready to prove it every time he steps on the court. Stay tuned.
