Carter is the ultimate floor general with strong ball-handling ability, a high IQ, and great court vision. As a dazzling passer, Carter thrives at being a dynamic playmaker for teammates, creating easy scoring opportunities for teammates yet shifty and creative enough to go get his own when needed. Carter can really bring the rain from deep at a high percentage but is fearless getting into the seams, attacking the rim, or dishing to that cutting teammate when the defense tries to collapse on him. Carter is an instinctive defender who causes chaos and disrupts the offensive flow of his opponents with speed and anticipation.

In his Freshman season, Carter averaged 10 points, 5assisys, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals per game while shooting 35% from three. Carter's focused areas for improvement are developing his transition jumper while getting stronger stronger so he can grab more rebounds and defend more positions. Over the summer, Carter spent countless hours living in the gym and weight room, getting stronger, and is ready to showcase exactly how much development he has done in that area. Carter feels that not only has he gotten string, but he is confident that the work he put in on that jumper will also be evident. However, Carter understands there is always room for improvement and will continue to work every day, pushing himself to get better and better. Grind never stops.

Carter's biggest accomplishments are winning multiple championships in all the years he has played, including 2 county championships in middle school and reaching the elite 8 in the state tournament.

Carter's goals for the upcoming season are to win as many games as possible and ultimately get better in all areas of the game. Carter sees the challenges for the season as playing in a very talented region with players all around who are very skilled and talented. Carter looks forward to every game, especially district and regional games, to highlight himself and his team and prove they are among the top teams in that area. Carter thinks his team can make a deep tournament run, and he thinks they will because they can be a dangerous team with a new play style and strong chemistry.

What fuels Carter's fire the most on the court is diving on loose balls, running good offense, and getting defensive stops. He always provides a ton of energy to himself and the team because the little things and doing things right lead to wins and success.

Carter views adversity as a part of life, and basketball is no exception, so maintaining positive energy, confidence, and trust in his teams leads everyone through tough moments and helps overcome those challenges; tough times make tough people is Carter's perspective.

The best advice Carter was ever given is, "Play within your abilities and play as a team because selfishness gets you or the team nowhere."

Carter's interests outside of basketball are golf, enjoying time with friends and family, and staying active.

To reach the next level in basketball, Carter understands he has to constantly work on his own time and not just at practice or game, knowing you have to be a practice and game player while being a leader for your team. It would be an honor to play at any level past high school. There are no offers or visits y, et but Carter is expecting some going forward as this is just his sophomore year.

I assess that he has high potential as all the intangibles are in his bag. His high IQ, passing ability, and defense will have a huge impact not only on this team but likely a good fit for a next-level team. As Carter continues to develop and put in the work, there is an opportunity to be another standout guard in the state of KY in the end, as Carter has a very high ceiling. Carter has already developed a winning mindset with the success he has had, understanding exactly what it takes to get it done. I'm excited to see just how high Carter can fly. Stay tuned.
