Haylon is a high-IQ floor general with a fearless motor and a strong understanding of the game. He thrives in the open floor, using his elite vision and crafty decision-making to break defenses down and create for both himself and his teammates. His command of tempo and feel for the game make him a natural leader, someone who thinks two plays ahead and consistently makes winning choices. Whether he's setting the table with a dazzling assist or attacking the rim with purpose, Haylon keeps the defense guessing. He's a coach on the floor with a competitive edge and a calm presence that elevates everyone around him.

This past season, Haylon averaged 11.3 points, 9 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 3.1 steals, and nearly a block per game, all while leading the KCAA in assists. His game is built on unselfish play and total control, but this year marked a major leap in leadership. With his coach giving him the keys, he took over as the engine of the team, guiding, communicating, and setting the tone like a true floor captain. His offseason focus is locked in on elevating his shooting ability into consistent in-game results, hoping to move from “great” to “elite” behind the arc. His most impactful moment of the season came when his coach fully trusted him to control the game, fueling both his confidence and his commitment to becoming even better.

Haylon knows that getting to the next level physically will open up more of his game, and he’s putting in the work to develop his body to match his mind. With his natural leadership, high basketball IQ, and ability to run a team, he’s already a special talent. And he’s just getting started.

I assess that Haylon’s ability to command the floor, create plays, and lead with composure will be a major asset for any program. His court vision, defensive instincts, and leadership give him the tools to make everyone around him better.
