Brayden is a crafty combo guard who can heat up in a hurry and completely change the tone of a game. Lethal from three with unlimited range and fearless confidence, he plays best when the pace is fast and the pressure is high. His shooting ability stretches defenses the moment he crosses half-court, forcing defenders to stay attached while opening space for teammates. On the other end, his defensive edge shows up with active hands, strong positioning, and a refusal to give scorers comfort. He thrives in rhythm, feeds off momentum, and brings an energy that lifts everyone on the floor when things start rolling.
Last season, Brayden averaged 22.4 points per game while shooting a blistering 48.8% from three-point range, finishing top 5 in the state in 3-point shooting and joining the 1,000-point club as a sophomore. This season, he is averaging 20.2 points per game while still shooting 45.5% from beyond the arc, proving the efficiency is real and sustainable. His biggest improvement has been his ball handling, allowing him to create more off the bounce and play with greater control, while continuing to push his defensive impact forward. The goal is to win the 15th Region and make a run at state this year and next year.
In the 2A Regional Championship against Lawrence County, Brayden had one of his biggest performances on the biggest stage, exploding for 37 points while adding 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal in an 84–78 win. He answered every run with timely buckets, stayed aggressive from start to finish, and helped power Johnson Central through a pressure-packed championship game with his scoring punch and competitive edge.
Brayden’s fire kicks in when his team strings together big runs, and he embraces those moments by staying aggressive and confident. When facing adversity, he keeps his head clear, stays within his game, and continues competing without forcing the moment. That steadiness, combined with his shooting ability, makes him a dangerous late-game player and reliable when momentum is swinging.
Brayden’s shooting ability alone changes how opponents have to defend, and when combined with his improved handle and defensive effort, he gives a college program a guard who can score in bunches while still impacting winning basketball. His ability to thrive in fast-paced games and capitalize on momentum makes him a weapon in both structured sets and open-floor situations.
Moving forward, expect Brayden to continue expanding his all-around guard play while remaining one of the most dangerous perimeter threats in the state. With his confidence, work ethic, and clear team-driven goals, his impact will only grow as he pushes deeper into postseason play and continues to build toward the next level. Stay tuned.
