Delantay is a rugged, high-IQ guard who takes pride in the little things that win games, whether it’s battling for boards, finishing through contact, or staying composed under pressure. He’s built his name on grit, hustle, and consistency. A crafty finisher around the rim, Delantay knows how to read defenses, attack gaps, and get the job done without needing the spotlight. His basketball instincts are fierce, his motor never stops, and he’s not afraid to take hits or do the dirty work. While he’s continuing to develop as a shooter, his ability to create, rebound, and compete makes him the kind of player every team needs in crunch time.
After helping his team to a strong 17-5 record, Delantay’s biggest improvement was his free throw and mid-range shooting, two areas that once held him back but are now coming alive in his game. He’s still working on becoming more of a threat from deep, but his effort on the glass and toughness on both ends of the floor have been huge for his squad. He’s currently playing with Pride ROC this AAU season with one simple goal: to get noticed. His focus is locked in for the Prep Finals, where he wants to make a big impression and prove he belongs at the college level. Off the court, he enjoys hanging out with friends and staying in the gym, always building.
Delantay is fueled by doubt, not rattled by it. When opponents start talking, he gets even more locked in. He stays calm with deep breaths and leans on the best advice he’s ever gotten, "play at your pace and don’t rush." With maturity, a team-first mindset, and a hunger to keep grinding, he’s chasing the dream of calling a college campus home.
I assess that Delantay’s hustle, rebounding, and finishing ability give him a foundation college programs can build on. His willingness to compete and embrace the intangibles will instantly elevate any roster.
As he continues to round out his shooting and evolve his offensive game, expect Delantay to emerge as a fearless playmaker who impacts winning every time he steps on the floor. The work ethic is real as well as his potential impact.
