Ayden is a steady, confident guard who plays with patience and control beyond his years. He is a lethal shooter from deep who makes defenders stay tight, opening space and keeping the offense flowing. He understands pace, trusts his reads, and values making the right play just as much as scoring. When defenses close out hard, he can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim, and when the moment gets tense, he stays composed and delivers. Every trip down the floor comes with effort, discipline, and pride in playing for the name on the front of the jersey.
Through the first 4 games of the season, Ayden has already shown real flashes of what he can become. Now a sophomore on the varsity team, he has posted scoring games of 11 points and 19 points, hitting a lot of 3-pointers once he became more involved offensively. In the first 2 games, he did not take any shots at all, choosing to focus on ball movement, getting teammates involved, and playing within the flow of the offense. As a freshman, he averaged 15 points per game, and this summer he raised that level even more, averaging 22, showing his scoring ability has been there. One of his biggest improvements from last season has been on the defensive end, along with his ability to bring the ball up, handle pressure, and step into shots with confidence. Moving forward, his focus is on being more aggressive, attacking the rim more often, and continuing to grow into a more complete scorer.
Last season carried heavy meaning for Ayden after the loss of a mentor, coach, and trainer who played a major role in his development. That adversity added purpose to how he approaches the game and why he competes the way he does. Rivalry games bring extra edge, especially against Davison, his old school, where emotion and intensity are always high. What fuels him most is simply being on the floor with his teammates, competing together, and giving everything he has for the team. Off the court, his time is spent training and watching film, staying locked in on growth.
His goal is to play college basketball and compete at the next level, and each step forward now is part of building toward that future.
I assess that Ayden offers value as a dependable guard who can make shots, keep defenses honest, and move the ball with purpose. His patience, team-first mindset, and improving defense make him a strong fit in structured systems. As he continues to attack the basket with more intent, his overall impact will continue to expand.
Moving forward, expect Ayden to grow into a more assertive offensive threat while maintaining his steady approach. With continued reps, added strength, and trust in his work, his game is moving toward being well-rounded and reliable. His mindset, work habits, and love for the game give him a strong foundation as he pushes toward the next level. Stay tuned.
