Joshua plays the game with calm control and a clear understanding of what winning basketball looks like. He does not force action or chase moments. He reads what the defense gives him and responds with the right play, whether that is scoring, creating for others, or settling the game when it needs to breathe. His approach is simple but effective, built on poise, feel, and trust in his work. There is a steady presence to how he operates, one that keeps teammates connected and the game moving in the right direction.

This season, Joshua is averaging 16 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal per game while shooting 40 percent from three. His entire game has taken a step forward on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he has become more efficient and confident. Defensively, he has become more physical, more aware, and more reliable in how he impacts possessions, using positioning, effort, and instincts to make life harder on opposing guards. As he prepares for the next level, the focus is on tightening his ball handling and adding strength so he can use his body more forcefully, especially as he transitions into a full-time point guard role.

A new coaching staff has played a major role in his growth, giving him the freedom to showcase his full skill set and step into leadership. As a senior, his coaches expect him to lead every time he is on the floor, and he embraces that responsibility. Matchups against JP2 and MBA are circled, but Joshua’s mindset does not change game to game. He is focused on becoming better as a player and as a person while moving one step closer to his basketball goals.

He feeds off teammates making plays and simply being back on the floor competing.

When facing adversity, Joshua stays calm, plays free, and makes the right decision each possession. He understands the game is bigger than scoring and believes that when you focus on helping your team win, the numbers will follow naturally.

Off the court, Joshua enjoys spending time with friends and discovering new interests, always open to learning and growing beyond basketball.

Joshua currently holds interest from multiple community colleges and has college basketball firmly in his plans. He is actively looking at JUCO and Division 2 opportunities and is motivated to find the right fit to continue developing his game and leadership.

I assess that Joshua brings toughness, trust, and leadership to a program. He understands how to control the game, makes smart reads, and delivers the right play when it matters. He stays calm in big moments, plays with purpose every time he is on the floor, and helps the game stay under control. His impact shows in how smoothly the game flows and how much better the team looks when he is running things.

Moving forward, expect Joshua to continue growing into a floor general role. As his strength and ball handling continue to improve, his control of the game will expand even more. He is poised to be a steady college guard who values winning, understands his role, and consistently gives teams exactly what they need to succeed. Stay tuned.
