6’0, 152lbs, Class of 2027

Marlboro County HS, SC

Will is a versatile backcourt weapon built on hustle, heart, and purpose. A natural point guard with a shooting guard’s scoring punch, he’s wired to make plays, whether he’s raining threes, finishing with either hand at the rim, or delivering dazzling passes off a screen. Will plays with an edge that shows in the details of pushing the ball in transition, feeding cutters for easy buckets, and making high-IQ reads without forcing the issue. His all-around game is built by relentless effort, leadership, and a steady motor that coaches dream about. He’s not the loudest in the gym but always lets his game speak.

After averaging 6 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game this past season, Will locked in on two key areas this offseason: ballhandling and defense. Defense was a weak spot, but he embraced the grind, and it’s now turning into a strength. He also improved his shooting form for more consistency and embraced the mental side of the game, learning how mindset shapes performance. Recognition from coaches across the state during AAU was a turning point, reminding him that the work he's putting in is being noticed. Competing with Carolina Pressure 16U out of Columbia, Will took every matchup as a moment to grow, improve, and build momentum heading into the next chapter.

With a focus on daily growth, Will’s fired up for a bigger impact this high school season. He’s locked in on becoming a stronger contributor, a smarter floor general, and a tougher defender. He attacks adversity with solitude and self-reflection, never afraid to ask himself the hard questions and grind for the right answers. The best advice he’s ever received is, , “Work like everyone is watching, even when no one is watching,” and it reflects the fire that fuels him. Off the floor, he values time with his family and hours in the gym, working quietly with loud results.

I assess that Will’s unselfish playmaking, improved decision-making, and relentless work ethic make him a good fit for a system that values heart, leadership, and development. His ability to get teammates involved, finish through contact, and bring energy on both ends will make him a key piece at the next level.

Expect Will to emerge as a true floor leader as he matures. His steady improvement, coachability, and hunger to grow give him long-term potential that’s still unfolding. As his confidence and skill set continue to evolve, so will his role, influence, and opportunities in the game. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
