Dawson is a fierce, physical competitor with the size, skill, and motor to dominate both ends of the floor. He plays with an edge, sitting down on defense and smothering opponents, then turning defense into instant offense with transition buckets. He’s explosive getting downhill and smooth pulling up with a punishing middy, but what sets him apart is his versatility. He can knock down catch-and-shoot threes and is actively developing his off-the-dribble range to become a complete scoring threat. He loves to battle to gobble up boards like candy. Dawson brings toughness, IQ, and a love for getting stops, giving coaches a relentless two-way piece they can count on to impact winning every night.
After averaging 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists per game, Dawson’s biggest leap came in trusting his game and making confident, smart decisions with the ball. That mental shift allowed his physical tools to shine, and now he’s focused on turning his off-the-dribble three into a go-to weapon. Making it to the regional tournament was a turning point, and it showed him what was possible and ignited a hunger to go even further.
With B-Maze Elite, he’s hitting the UAA sessions with the goal of gaining exposure, facing top talent, and getting his name known across state lines. For Dawson, it’s all about winning, locking down on defense, running the floor, and fueling his team with energy and stops. He handles adversity by leaning on his teammates and trusting their bond, and no matter the challenge, he’s wired to push through and rise above it.
I assess that Dawson brings a rare blend of size, toughness, and defensive fire to the table. His ability to guard, rebound, and score in multiple ways gives him tremendous value to any college program. He plays with intensity and poise, two traits that make him a winning piece at the next level.
As Dawson continues elevating his perimeter shot and evolving his offensive arsenal, expect a breakout on the AAU circuit and beyond. His IQ, frame, and drive give him high-level potential and make him a name college coaches will be tracking closely over the next few years.
