Jaxson is a strong, physical, two-way force who brings grit, leadership, and toughness to every play. He’s a well-rounded scorer with the ability to get buckets at all three levels, a fierce rebounder who carves out space, and a determined defender who takes pride in stopping his man. His ball-handling improvement has opened up his offensive game, allowing him to create off the bounce and attack the rim with confidence. Jaxson’s impact isn’t just in stats but in the way he leads, competes, and energizes his team. His outside shot is a work in progress, but he knows that, and he’s putting in the work daily to become a lights-out shooter. What separates him from others at his position is how he mixes physicality and leadership with a team-first mindset. He’s not flashy, he’s fierce, focused, and relentless.
This past season, Jaxson averaged 7.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1 steal per game, stepping up big after his team’s starting point guard left just one game into the season. The unexpected opportunity allowed him to showcase his ball-handling growth and take on a much larger role. And now, as he prepares to start for Clinton next year with a solid returning core, he’s ready to lead the charge. On the AAU scene, Jaxson has been on a tear with Tennessee Run in the Connect League. Two weekends ago in Rockwall, TX, he dropped 21, 12, 20, and 9 points across four games, then followed that up with 10 more points playing up with the 17U squad. Last weekend in the And1 Memorial Classic, he exploded for 27 and 17 points on Day 1, continuing to show why he's becoming a name to know.
His goals this AAU season are focused on becoming a better shot creator and a vocal leader, setting the tone for his teammates, and leading by example. The Connect League Finals in Chicago are circled on his calendar as a chance to leave no doubt. What fires him up the most is flipping the script, making a big-time defensive play that sparks offense. That kind of momentum swings games, and Jaxson lives for those moments. When facing adversity, he stays composed, breathing, resetting, and reminding himself of the elite competition he’s already faced. That belief in preparation is what keeps him sharp and steady under pressure.
The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, "Focus on intensity and defense early in your high school career." Jaxson has taken that to heart. Off the court, he enjoys fishing and playing pickleball to relax and recharge before it’s time to go again.
I assess that Jaxson brings high-impact toughness to any roster with his rebounding, defensive energy, and leadership presence. He’s a glue guy with real scoring ability, and his growth as a creator and vocal presence make him a vital piece in any team’s success.
With continued development as a shooter and increased confidence in his offensive game, Jaxson is positioned to take off as a starter next season. He’s already proven he can rise to the moment, now it’s about taking the reins, leading from the front, and becoming a game-changer every night. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
