5’10, 150lbs, Class of 2026
Williamstown HS, WV
Nate is a crafty, confident guard with a smooth jumper, quick handle, and a mindset built around toughness and belief. He’s a three-level scorer who thrives on energy, whether it’s his, his teammates’, or the crowd’s. Shifty and skilled, he can finish around the rim with finesse, knock down smooth middy, or create space to bury a three. What sets him apart is his willingness to do the little things, crash the glass, control pace, and bring his team to life with momentum-shifting plays. He’s spent the offseason sharpening his game and plans to bulk up to 160lbs by the start of the season to add even more strength to his frame.
This past year, Nate played behind a senior-heavy, state-ranked squad at Williamstown and still made a strong impression, averaging around 5.6 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists per game in limited minutes. What mattered more than numbers, though, was growth. He broke out of a hesitant mindset and became more aggressive with the ball in his hands. The added weight and strength made it easier to take contact, while his focus on reading defenders and developing touch at the rim is helping him evolve into a more complete scorer.
His AAU goals were focused on defense, learning to dictate direction, disrupt rhythm, and become a defender opponents have to adjust to. That goal was reached. Nate used his quickness and anticipation to force mistakes and shut down drives. He’s now working on becoming a more assertive playmaker and consistent shooter under pressure. He understands that confidence isn't just about the big shots, it’s about believing in yourself every time you step on the floor.
Next season, he’s looking forward to stepping into a larger role and proving he can make a bigger impact. He plays with purpose, brings juice to his team, and doesn’t shy away from tough moments. When facing adversity doesn’t shake him, he breaks it down, stays persistent, and finds a way to grow from it.
Off the floor, Nate is grounded in faith, driven by purpose, and determined to live fully. He enjoys time with God, lifting, nature, and making memories with friends and family, always reminding himself that tomorrow isn’t promised.
I assess that Nate’s mix of quickness, touch, and effort makes him a valuable two-way guard with real potential. As he continues to get stronger and more confident in attack mode, his ability to contribute across the board will expand quickly.
Expect Nate to take a major step forward this year as a leader and playmaker. His growth mindset, energy, and developing scoring ability make him a player to watch, especially as his role and minutes increase. It's a statement season and proving ground for Nate to show everyone exactly what he's all about, as well as the determination to keep the rich tradition that comes with this team intact while making a deep playoff run and being a huge part of that drive. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
