Elijah is a powerful, athletic guard who looks the part the moment he steps on the floor. Strong through the shoulders with a college-ready body, he plays with force, balance, and confidence on both ends. He thrives attacking from the baseline and paint, elevates with ease, and finishes through contact like a true power guard. His jumper is smooth and quick from deep, his middy
is controlled and patient, and his ability to create separation makes defenders pay when they give him space. Elijah is not just a scorer. He impacts the game with physical defense, competitive edge, and a steady presence that raises the level of everyone around him.
Last season marked his first year on varsity, and the growth since then has been loud. His biggest improvement has come in court vision and feel. He now sees driving lanes earlier, delivers the ball on time, and consistently creates advantages for teammates while still getting to his own spots. A tough playoff loss to a rival became a turning point, sharpening his focus and shifting the mindset from individual production to collective success. That lesson has fueled his push toward a true breakout season, with state tournament hopes driving his daily work. He already made a statement by helping lead Hackett to a 60–48 win over Kalamazoo Christian, a rival he circles every year.
Elijah brings leadership that shows up when the game tightens. He keeps teammates engaged, communicates constantly, and makes sure everyone stays connected and locked in. When facing adversity, he pulls the group together, settles the moment, and turns chaos into clarity. His fire comes from the freedom to create, to read the game, and to make something happen for himself or others. Every night, he plays with purpose, toughness, and a team-first edge that separates him from typical high school guards.
I assess that Elijah is a physically ready guard who impacts a college program with strength, versatility, and a competitive edge. His ability to score from multiple areas, defend with force, and create for others gives coaches lineup flexibility while his leadership steadies the floor and raises the standard around him.
Moving forward, expect continued growth as a playmaker and a complete two-way presence. As his experience stacks up, Elijah has the tools to become the engine of a winning program, setting the tone with toughness, poise, and production when it matters most. Stay tuned.
