Austin is an electric playmaker who leaves fingerprints on every corner of the court. Whether he's attacking defenders off the bounce, knocking down deep shots with confidence, or digging in for a stop, his game is fierce, versatile, and built on a relentless motor that delivers a dynamic impact. What makes him stand out is not just the flash, it’s the substance. Austin’s basketball IQ, crafty decision-making, and unselfish approach make him a true difference-maker. He hustles , competes with heart, and plays with an edge that sets the tone for everyone around him.

This past season, Austin averaged 21.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while taking on the role of primary scorer for a young Trinity Christian squad. With no seniors on the roster and inconsistent lineups from week to week, he stayed steady becoming the team’s go-to guy and a vocal leader in tough situations. His biggest improvement was owning that leadership role, carrying the scoring load while learning how to guide his teammates. Heading into the offseason, he’s focused on building strength and adding muscle to be more explosive and physical at the rim. Already confident scoring at all three levels, he wants to continue expanding that toolbox. What fuels his fire is those team moments of intensity, when everyone is locked in and big plays start rolling. That energy drives him.

Austin is playing for Best Virginia this AAU season, based out of Morgantown. His mission is to continue rounding out his all-around game and prove he’s not just a shooter. He wants to show coaches he can defend with tenacity, finish through contact, and make smart reads in the mid-range. People know the jumper is there, it’s the toughness and completeness he wants to show this spring and summer. With team workouts still happening at Trinity when schedules allow, he’s doubling up on the grind.

Off the court, Austin is grounded and forward-thinking. He’s a serious student who understands the bigger picture. His dream is to play college basketball at a top-tier academic institution somewhere that can push him both as a player and as a student. He wants to walk away with more than wins but he wants a future that reflects the same kind of effort and intentionality he brings to the game.

When facing adversity , Austin keeps his cool and keeps playing, treating every possession like the next one will be the breakthrough. He approaches mistakes with a quarterback mindset, never too high, never too low, just ready to respond. The best advice he’s received came from his coach: “Just play your game and let the game come to you.” That has helped him quiet the noise, trust his preparation, and let the work speak for itself.

I assess that Austin’s game is rooted in energy and execution. He brings a high motor, consistent intensity, and a strong sense of purpose each time he steps on the court. He’s a capable scorer who can heat up quickly, and he’s embraced the pressure of being the guy his teammates count on. The maturity in his leadership, paired with his focus on getting stronger and expanding his offensive bag, makes him a tough matchup for defenders and a stabilizing force for his team.

Colleges will get a player who can contribute immediately with his shooting and scoring instincts, but what separates Austin is his ability to do the little things like diving for loose balls, playing with tempo, and adjusting on the fly. His vision, ability to make reads, and hunger to improve all translate to a player who will adapt well at the next level. As he continues to build strength and round out his defensive game, his versatility will make him a valuable piece in multiple systems.

Expect a tougher, more confident version of Austin next season. One who isn’t just trying to make noise, but ready to lead the charge. His potential to impact both ends and lead in the locker room gives him real value at the college level. Stay tuned.
