Gian is a dynamic shot-creator and confident scorer who can get to his spots and put the ball in the bucket from all three levels. He’s a smooth playmaker with a high IQ and fierce passing instincts, capable of running an offense or shifting into scoring mode when needed. What separates him is his ability to control the tempo and rise in clutch moments, whether it’s creating off the dribble, raining a catch-and-shoot three, or locking in on defense. Gian is a poised, coachable leader who embraces the pressure, plays both ends with pride, and never backs down when the lights are bright.

He made waves this past season, splitting time between JV and varsity as a freshman. Gian averaged 11.3 PPG and 4.4 APG on JV before earning a varsity call-up, where he averaged 5.1 points, 2.2 assists, and a steal per game on 48.3% shooting. But more important than numbers was his development, learning how to handle ball pressure, cut turnovers, and blow past defenders with confidence. Once a shaky part of his game, ball-handling has become a key strength. Gian also played big minutes in the playoffs and handled the moment with maturity beyond his years. His mindset is to impact the game no matter what role he's in.

This offseason, Gian’s working to become stronger finishing downhill through contact and more consistent shooting off the catch. He’s focused on using both hands around the rim and taking his shooting to the next level. Those goals are already paying off on the AAU circuit, where he's starred for The Academy 15U and earned rotation minutes with the 17U squad. He helped lead 15U to a GRBA National Championship in Fort Wayne and averaged 8 points for 17U while starting in key games. At the US Select Showcase, he was named a Top 20 All-Star and earned an invitation to compete overseas with their elite team, a sign that his game is gaining real attention.

Known as a quick, agile guard who plays with pace and precision, Gian brings life to every court he steps on. He’s already led his team to wins against top programs, including a 17-point performance to knock off Indiana’s Progeny squad. Whether it’s a rivalry game, a packed gym, or a down-to-the-wire finish, Gian thrives in high-pressure environments. Off the floor, he puts his trust in God, trusts his work ethic, and values the people around him, friends, family, coaches, and teammates. He also enjoys football, soccer, photography, and gaming when he’s not working on his game.

I assess that Gian’s ability to handle pressure, create shots, and direct traffic gives him the tools to become a special guard at the next level. His two-way play, coachability, and leadership make him the kind of player who helps programs win. With his growth mindset and consistent production, he's already making a name for himself among Michigan’s rising stars.

As he continues to add strength, consistency, and finishing through contact, Gian’s stock will only rise. He’s proven he can score, facilitate, defend, and lead, even against older competition. Expect him to take a major step forward this season and push Pioneer toward a district title while solidifying himself as one of the top 2028 guards in the state. Stay tuned for a breakout season ahead.
