Chris brings a rare blend of athleticism, adaptability, and relentless fire to the floor. His game is built on resilience, the kind you can’t teach. He’s a high-level scorer turned all-around weapon, capable of finishing through contact, raining shots from deep, and delivering smart dimes as a willing facilitator. With explosive bounce, strong rebounding instincts, and a motor that refuses to cool down, Chris doesn’t just play the game, he attacks it. Every possession is personal. What separates him is his toughness, his ability to shine in chaos, and his fearlessness when the lights are the brightest. He’s not afraid to shift roles, face adversity head-on, and still rise above a coach’s dream with a chip on his shoulder. He’s a competitor fueled by doubt, and the more resistance he faces, the more he digs in.
This past season, Chris saw a transformation not just in numbers but in identity. Despite playing limited minutes early in the year, he stormed into a leading role with a 19-8 team, finishing 2nd in almost every key stat: FGM, 3PM, total points, rebounds, eFG%, FT%, and 2FG% (56%). He even posted a season-high 26-point firestorm. But stats only tell part of the story. His biggest improvement came in confidence, defense, rebounding, and decision-making. That growth made him a complete player, from hesitant to high-impact. His goals now shift to IMG Academy, where he’ll take on the toughest challenge yet of becoming the most complete, next-level-ready player he can be. It’s going to take everything, but he’s ready for the grind. What fuels him most are gritty moments, when the game gets real, when eyes are on him, when people doubt. That’s when Chris hits that switch.
He plans to possibly return to AAU competition in July after competing with Darius Garland Elite NB last year. More than anything, he’s focused on elevating his already-dangerous game. He wants to master his athleticism, use his strength more consistently, and react faster on the defensive end. Through the highs and the lows, Chris keeps showing up. That Waubonsie Valley game at the Hinkle Holiday Tournament, when his coaches started to trust him, was a turning point. He remembers the bench time, the doubts, the urge to walk away. But he didn’t. He stayed in the fire and came out stronger.
Chris already surpassed 1,000 career points in three years, was runner-up for Conference Player of the Year, and earned multiple All-Area honors. Now, he’s chasing a scholarship at the D1 or D2 level, knowing he has the work ethic, mindset, and game to thrive at the highest level. With over 10 offers rolling in since season’s end and multiple schools in contact, his belief is he’s nowhere near his ceiling, and by next year, he plans to be undeniable.
I assess that Chris offers a mix of versatility, athleticism, and grit that fits into most high-level college systems. He’s proven he can lead, adapt, and grow mentally, physically, and under pressure. Programs looking for a mentally tough, coachable, and dynamic two-way player should have him high on their radar.
Expect Chris to make waves at IMG Academy. With more time, structure, and elite competition, his ceiling rises fast. He’s a late-blooming threat who’s still rising, a wing built for pressure, battle-tested, and hungry to dominate. Don’t bet against him. That chip has a big bite. Stay tuned for yet another monster season.
