Jacob is a crafty three-level sniper who brings real scoring juice every time he steps on the floor. He is explosive off the bounce, comfortable pulling up on a dime, and just as dangerous spotting up and letting it fly. Defenders cannot relax for a second because his scoring comes in waves and from everywhere. What separates him is how natural it looks. The footwork, the balance, the confidence. Add in a high IQ and good court vision, and he is more than just a bucket. He sees plays develop, delivers sweet dimes when help comes, and keeps the offense flowing without forcing the action.
After averaging around 24 points per game last season, Jacob has raised the bar this year to roughly 26 to 27 points per game while adding about 4 assists. That growth shows a scorer who is expanding his impact and embracing more responsibility. He is not just looking for shots, but making reads, drawing attention, and creating opportunities for others while still carrying the scoring load. His goal this season is clear and personal, to put his school on the map and make sure his own name is impossible to ignore.
What fuels his fire is doubt, criticism, and people counting him out. That edge shows up in how hard he plays and how aggressive he is as a scorer. When facing adversity, Jacob responds with work. Extra gym time, extra reps, and extra focus. That mindset has already helped open doors at the next level, with offers on the table from Tennessee Wesleyan, CU Harrisburg, Hilbert New York, and Appalachian Bible College.
Faith plays a central role in how Jacob handles everything that comes his way. When pressure builds or adversity shows itself, he turns to his Lord and Savior for guidance and grounding. That relationship keeps him steady, keeps his purpose clear, and drives the discipline behind his work ethic. His trust in God is part of his foundation, giving him strength and direction both on and off the court.
I assess that Jacob brings immediate scoring punch to a college program with his ability to score at all three levels and apply constant pressure to a defense. His confidence, shooting range, and ability to attack off the bounce force opponents to adjust coverage, opening space for teammates and creating matchup problems. His growing playmaking adds another dimension that can elevate an offense and give coaches flexibility in how he is used.
Moving forward, expect Jacob to continue pushing his scoring numbers while expanding his overall command of the game. As his reads and consistency keep improving, his impact will go beyond points alone. With his edge, faith-driven discipline, and clear motivation, his potential points toward being a high-level scoring guard who thrives on proving people wrong and stepping into big moments. Stay tuned to see how high he can fly.
