Walker Valley HS, TN
There’s a different kind of energy radiating from Drew every time he steps on the field. He’s not just a center, he’s the heartbeat of the line, a fierce, calculated warrior built for battle in the trenches. Drew’s game is a mix of violent power and refined discipline, where every snap, every block, every second counts. His footwork is smooth, his leverage unmatched, and his understanding of angles and balance, sharpened through wrestling, gives him the edge most linemen only dream of. Undersized by traditional standards, Drew separates himself through explosive hand placement, relentless drive, and a nonstop motor. When chaos erupts, he thrives. Commanding protections, identifying blitzes, and setting the tone for one of the most explosive offenses in Tennessee, Drew doesn’t just hold the line, he owns it.
Through nine games this season, Drew racked up 54 pancakes and graded out above 90% across every category, a mark of dominance that doesn’t happen by accident. Twice named Player of the Week and earning Tennessee State Farm Player of the Week honors, he’s the anchor every coach dreams of. His transformation from last season is remarkable, reshaping his body, boosting his strength, and improving his quickness to become a complete, high-level center. A playoff loss last year, caused by one mistimed snap, became the fire that pushed him to never let failure define him again. Now, Drew stands as a leader with something to prove, focused on driving his team deep into the postseason while pursuing his ultimate goal of earning his shot to play D1 football.
What fuels this relentless grinder isn’t just competition, it’s faith, family, and purpose. Drew’s faith in God is his armor, his anchor, and his daily reminder that he’s never alone in the fight. Every block is a testimony to resilience, every snap a declaration of belief. His parents’ sacrifices fuel his hunger to create a future bigger than anyone in his family has ever known, and adversity —the same force that breaks most —has become his training partner. He doesn’t fear it. He embraces it.
With 11 total offers, including one D1, two D2, and eight at the D3 and NAIA levels, Drew’s name is one that continues to rise on recruiting boards. Coaches know exactly what they’re getting, a player who bleeds for his team, sweats for every inch, and leaves nothing unfinished. His favorite advice from Coach Jordan Harris, “Pass protection doesn’t have to be passive, don’t just react, attack,” defines his mentality. Drew doesn’t wait for impact, he creates it.
Faith remains his compass. With God at the center of his life, Drew carries the full armor of belief into every battle. He stands as living proof that faith and ferocity can coexist, a powerful mix that makes him dangerous in the trenches and unstoppable in pursuit of his dreams.
I assess that Drew is a lineman who changes the identity of an offense. His rare combination of intelligence, strength, balance, and aggression allows him to dominate opponents who may outweigh him. He brings leadership, communication, and grit, qualities that elevate entire units. His understanding of leverage and timing makes him an invaluable centerpiece for any college program looking for consistency, toughness, and a natural-born leader who sets the tone both on and off the field.
Moving forward, Drew’s ceiling is sky high. His work ethic, faith-driven mindset, and unrelenting motor make him a force every coach wants in the trenches. Expect him to continue elevating his craft, outworking everyone in his path, and developing into one of the most complete centers in the region. His next level isn’t a matter of if, it’s when. Drew Duggan is built for the long haul, destined to make a lasting impact wherever he goes. Stay tuned for a monster postseason run.
