Caleb has built his game on doing what helps his team win. He describes himself as unselfish and fundamental, playing smart, making good decisions, and taking pride in doing the little things right. Flash isn't what drives his game. Caleb wants to make the right play, whether that means getting a basket, finding a teammate, mixing it up on the boards, or getting after it defensively.

His freshman season gave him plenty of basketball and plenty of chances to grow. Caleb played at the freshman, JV, and varsity levels, constantly adjusting while working to become stronger physically, mentally, and fundamentally. Making varsity as a freshman was a big achievement, and when the school season ended, there was no break in the action. He jumped right into travel ball with Tennessee Impact on the Adidas 3SSB circuit, earning the chance to battle against talented competition from around the country. That summer run showed him where his game stood, where he needed to improve, and how much work it takes to compete against high-level talent.

Caleb entered last season known mainly for his shooting, but he wanted more in his bag. He attacked one of the biggest areas he needed to improve by becoming better at getting to the rim. Instead of living on the outside, he worked on attacking off the bounce and finding different ways to score. His middy game might be the most underrated weapon he brings because it gives him another place to go when defenders take away the three or cut off his drive.

That work is already showing in fall ball. Caleb is averaging 14.3 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game, stuffing the stat sheet without having to rely on one part of his game. He's made defense and rebounding a priority while becoming more aggressive offensively, getting to his spots and looking for different ways to put points on the board. The confidence is growing, and so is his ability to make an impact all over the floor.

Being overlooked and doubted has been one of Caleb's biggest battles throughout basketball. Opportunities haven't always been handed to him, and he has learned to turn that doubt into fuel instead of letting it slow him down. He knows the hours he puts into his game and believes in what he can do, so every chance to compete becomes another opportunity to show it.

The grind behind the scenes keeps Caleb busy. Hardin Valley puts him through D1 training and team workouts, but he doesn't stop there. He gets extra shots up, works with trainers, puts time into basketball skill training, and gets additional workouts at Triple F. His offseason has been built on becoming more complete instead of only sharpening what he already does well.

Caleb has some big goals for the upcoming season. He wants to average a double-double, pile up wins, and enjoy a strong year with his teammates. What fuels his fire is surprising people who have overlooked him and showing there is much more to his game. Every doubt gives him another reason to work, and every opportunity gives him another chance to prove himself.

A coach can expect Caleb to bring everything he has when he steps on the hardwood. He is going to rebound, play unselfish basketball, hunt his shot when it is there, and get to the spots where he is comfortable. He wants to make winning plays and be someone his teammates know they can count on when the ball goes up.

I assess that Caleb brings a strong all-around game with the ability to score from beyond the arc, attack the rim, and pull up in the mid-range. His early fall production shows how much he can impact a game beyond putting the ball through the net, especially with his work on the boards, passing, steals, and shot blocking. He understands when to look for his own basket and when to move the rock, giving him a smart offensive approach that fits nicely with his growing scoring bag.

The biggest thing jumping out with Caleb is how much his game continues to expand. Once known mainly for his rainmaker, he's added more off the bounce while becoming tougher around the rim and more active on both ends. Continuing to improve his handles, finishing, and strength will give him even more ways to attack, while his hunger to prove doubters wrong should keep that fire burning throughout the season.
