There’s always that one piece every team needs, not the loudest name or the one chasing stats, but the one you feel in every possession, every stop, every shift in momentum, the blue-collar firestarter that keeps everything alive and connected. That was Lincoln this season, stepping into the role of the engine, the glue, and the steady force that kept his team pushing forward when things got tough and elevated everyone around him when it mattered most.

From the beginning, this was never just about playing games, it was about building toward something bigger with a team that believed in making a deep run. Lincoln embraced that from day one by locking into his role and making the most of every opportunity that came his way. Early in the season, minutes were not always consistent, but his approach never changed. He stayed ready, brought energy every time he stepped on the floor, and earned trust through effort and consistency. As the season moved forward, that trust grew into a starting role, and with it came a bigger impact that could be felt across the game.

The early part of the season tested this group with a demanding schedule against bigger and stronger competition, which brought ups and downs that could have shaken confidence. Instead, it strengthened their mindset and prepared them for the moments that mattered later. Lincoln took those experiences and turned them into fuel, building toughness and learning how to stay locked in regardless of circumstances.

As the season progressed, his confidence grew naturally through embracing his role as a leader and energy setter. He became more vocal, more active, and more intentional with every possession. His impact showed up in rebounding, boxing out, creating second chances, and making hustle plays that shift momentum in a team’s favor. Those plays may not always headline a stat sheet, but they are the plays that win games, and Lincoln made them consistently.

His presence on the boards became a major factor, highlighted by a game with 15 rebounds, but more importantly by the physicality and effort he brought every night. The growth in his body from 170 to 183 pounds showed up in his ability to battle, hold position, and compete with strength on both ends. That physical development, along with his motor, allowed him to impact the game in ways that go beyond scoring.

What truly separates Lincoln is his understanding of the game and the way he sees everything unfolding. His IQ allows him to anticipate plays, stay connected with his teammates, and make the right decisions in the flow of the game. Defensively, he brings consistent energy and effort, while also encouraging and lifting those around him. He takes pride in doing the little things that hold a team together and create winning habits.

When the postseason arrived, everything this team had worked for came together. A run to the Final Four included a statement win over the number one-ranked team, showing the level they had built toward all season. On the big stage at the coliseum, Lincoln embraced the moment with a composed mindset, contributing 6 to 7 points, key assists, and a strong defensive effort that helped limit their opponent’s inside presence. His ability to stay true to his role in high-pressure moments reflects the growth he made throughout the year.

Over the course of the season, Lincoln played in all 27 games, earned a starting role, led the team in blocks, and finished among the top three in rebounds while helping guide his team to a Final Four appearance. Off the court, he maintained a 4.1 GPA in honors and AP classes and served as an FCA leader, showing discipline and consistency in every area.

As he moves into AAU season with Rocky Mountain Rebound National, that same energy and mindset will continue to define his game. There is a clear focus on becoming more aggressive, attacking the basket, expanding his offensive presence, and continuing to bring defensive intensity every time he steps on the floor. His approach remains focused on team success, embracing whatever role is needed and giving everything he has to it.

Lincoln represents what it means to be a culture player, someone who values team over self and understands how to impact winning in multiple ways. His growth throughout the season has positioned him as a reliable and impactful presence, and that potential is only continuing to rise.

I assess that Lincoln brings a strong winning presence through effort, awareness, and consistency. His ability to impact the game through rebounding, defense, and leadership makes him a valuable piece who helps keep a team connected and competitive.

As his offensive aggression continues to grow and he expands his scoring ability, his overall impact will rise even further. With his physical development, motor, and understanding of the game, he is poised to be a dependable player who can contribute to winning at higher levels. Stay tuned.
