Zach is a lethal sniper with unlimited range, a high-energy competitor whose IQ changes the flow of the game every time he steps on the floor. His calling card is the three-ball, but he brings far more than a quick trigger. A relentless force on the boards, a fierce defensive gem, and a combo guard with the ability to score or facilitate, Zach is a weapon at both ends of the court. His motor and coachability stand out, and he plays with a composed intensity that lifts his team while frustrating opponents.
This past summer, Zach showcased his growth and production at the Canada Summer Games, averaging 16.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.4 steals per game while shooting a blistering 41% from three in nearly 37 minutes per game. In a historic matchup against Prince Edward Island, he dropped 25 points, including 23 in the second half, leading Team Northwest Territories to its first-ever victory over a provincial team in tournament history. He capped off the run by earning All-Tournament Third Team honors, a moment that proved how his hard work and resilience pay off against top competition. His biggest improvement this past year came physically, adding nearly 15 pounds of muscle and growing two inches, which has helped him finish through contact and withstand physical play.
Always looking forward, Zach is focused on strengthening his ball-handling, driving ability, and athleticism, looking to attack the rim with more force, finish through defenders, and increase explosiveness. He thrives in big moments, feeding off loud crowds and pressure situations, and handles adversity with poise by trusting his preparation. The best coaching advice he’s ever received is, "Never get too high or too low, always staying balanced to maintain control and consistency".
A proud representative of Edge Prep and Genesis Basketball, Zach embraces the opportunities both programs provide to elevate his game. He plays with a European-style influence, team-oriented, selfless, and highly efficient. He prides himself on making the right pass, reading the floor, and playing with control while still pushing himself to compete with relentless effort. Off the court, Zach is a top student, earning the Grade 10 Top Academic award at Edge Prep, proving he is as disciplined in the classroom as he is on the court. He enjoys competing with his older siblings, playing other sports, reading, trying new foods, and even learning Spanish.
I assess that Zach’s dynamic shooting ability, mixed with his energy, defensive motor, and team-first mentality, make him a valuable asset for any program. His willingness to rebound, defend, and create for others while stretching defenses with lethal accuracy adds weapons to his impact on the court. A coach can trust him to remain poised in big moments, deliver production, and serve as a reliable two-way piece who thrives in both structured sets and free-flowing play.
What stands out about Zach is his steady progression, gaining size, strength, and confidence while continuing to elevate his efficiency and versatility. Expect him to keep developing as a three-level scorer and a trusted leader who mixes scoring punch with selfless playmaking. With his combination of academics, work ethic, and composure, his ceiling is high, and his long-term potential points toward becoming a standout who can excel in both Canadian and American systems. Stay tuned to see just how high he can fly.
